Basicaly you will get like an ID for your IP and if the goverment doesn't like you they can just ban you off the internet.

Actually the title should be "The end of freedom on the internet in USA". There are already other countries without net freedom. Though those are mostly dictatorship.

The SOPA law approval has been shelved for now, so you can get your hopes up. :)

As for en.wikipedia, there is a slight delay when a page loaded till the "wiki is blacked for today blabla" - just make the browser stop further loading the page and you can read it.

Yeah, heard that Obama said he wouldn't support those law, so both SOPA and PIPA seem doomed.

This game may be the first thing to go. I'm not sure but even though it is a free game, SOPA and PIPA both are meant to keep foreign websites and domains from infringing on American copyrights, as an American all I can say is WTF congress. None of the American internet users can support this bill. If you are an American call your Reps today and tell them to vote no on both issues.

No this wasn't the first time I heard about it. I did see some talking about it on blogs and stuff but I didn't give it much thought. Now I see it gets serious. And no it's not "shelved" it's pending for an approval and soon it will be approved if we don't do anything.

im confused why people over here in the US are more concerned about SOPA than they were about NDAA. Obama doesnt support SOPA and PIPA but supports US citizens being able to be locked away for being terrorists. the term terrorist is so loose these days. in theory opposing SOPA can make you are terrorist. i dont get it...

I honestly don't have any worries.

If this passes, I assure you, there will be major riots.  (not kidding)

Just imagine how crazy people get about random things on internet all the time :D.   Imagine if that happened to ALL of the internet pretty much? ;)

Even if it is passed, it won't last a day or maybe 2 at the most. 8)
