Quick pockets buff
« on: January 16, 2012, 05:20:27 pm »

First of all, merge quick pockets and fast reload. Both are underappreciated perks at the moment.

Secondly, picking up and dropping stuff should have reduced ap cost with quick pockets because they are inventory actions.

This way quick pockets is a good challenger for beginner perks such as more critical and weapon handling.

Fast reload is very useful for RL builds, I don't quite follow quick pockets. Haven't tried it yet, but I suppose it reduces cost of using stimpacks, right?
If so, you are mostly just giving specific RL builds more advantage by merging those things. I think it needs some wider usage, rather than just merge.

Also, just by the way, "gain x" perks are probably even less useful than those two.

Have QP and FR stack/overlap.

With both you reload free.

Having QP halve the AP cost of dropping/picking up/etc. would be good.

(Also, inventory actions without custom GUI are a pain in the ass in RT.)

Lolno. It reduces equipping and unequipping guns by 2 aps. Nothing else.

Make it work with stealing?

You can get more/larger items with steal at lesser penalty?

It should halve cost of item manipulation (eating chems included as well as reload cost)

So "Fast Reload" perk would become obsolete...

That perk would still be useful if it would cause gun's AP cost to be lowered by 1 right after reloading (with a timeout of 3 seconds - after that weapons AP cost would go back to normal
