Hello everybody. I am happy that I found this forum hope you can help me.
From 20th december 2009 trying to install register and play FO. I read houndred of solutions helps forums posts etc and still have problems. Maybe i will say what i do maybe somwehre I wrong.

So:

1. Installing fresh fallout 2
2. Download  client from this website : http://fonline2238.blogspot.com/
3. Downloading updater  from same website
4 Unzpi files for client
5 Unzpi update file into Fallout online folder
6 launching updater and all downloading all updates into FO folder
7 launching FO cnfing
8 Add master.dat critter.dat
9 With host i tried 2 ways : i got ip adress and port from this website and checking that server is avaible http://www.rovertemple.ru/fo/server/
10. tryied with 3 server all not working for me its write : executing start script fail
or conntecting estabilish .... and wait 5 minuets nothing


I wanna please for help its my mistakes or something with server?
please give me good client link updater everything what i need and good ip server with port

The IP named on the dev blog was the old one. I changed it there.

but all rest what i do is good ? i mean good client good updater ? anyway in FOconfig in area: NET i have this : none host
127.0.0.1 port 1080 it must stay or clear this fields too ?
So i must one more time do all things

Client will be updated by running updater. I assume that this applies for "proxy" section, so it's ok. "Game server" section must contain IP mentioned above.

OK guys i done everything one more time with your tips
Changed server ip and changed ip and port for updater for that new one

Here  giveing all screenshots what i had:

Please help me with that i done all as you said here dont know what can be wrong . I remember that abt 3 moths ago i played FO without any updaters etc just ip and port and worked now not
Please tell me step by step what to do

You still can't click on register and create a new character? Because in this case, the error is more or less "normal". Also go into your client/data/ folder and see if there are any *.cache files. If yes, delete all except default.cache. Then try again: Start client, click on register and fill out a character. If you can type in the character name, it should work.

Ok i delated all cache files without default cache
after it i opened FOnline.exe i hit enter not register and after it loaded for me new menu

then i clicked register and loged now its working
I wanna thank you for help i thoygt i will never do it
anyway can you tell me why i have these errors:
 error while opening cfg file: spawnnpc.cfg

?

This is a default error without any use. You can ignore it.
