Bursting crits!

Well the idea is simple.
Every bullet should have a chance to be critical hit (which means bursting too).
I dont know if this is possible in current engine but this is what i suggest:

Every bullet which is going to hit, has a small chance to make a random crit (but only ONE crit per whole burst. None multiple injuries).

I suggest this, because when you imagine guy with minigun bursting his victim, he cant aim well every bullet. Hes probably starting with torso hitting, but every next bullet starts to be less accurate (and hitting not torso but limbs). So chance to give random cripple, or weapon drop, or even blindness should exists. For the numbers, well, limbs criticals (cripplings or just criticals) should depends strictly on limbs size (tiny for head, almost none for eyes, but pretty nice for legs, and average for hands).

It'd be better to let players aim bursts as well, however it would require criticals to be redone and thus change the game quite a lot.
Otherwise it's just easier to have bursts do nothing extra, even though it is unrealistic.

with any sniper it would always end up in insta-kill

I'm against it (even if i'd love to burst eyes from 1 hex - YUMMY!)

Aimed bursts can be done as -X% penalty could apply for each next bullet, so bursting in the eyes will give you -60% for your 1st bullet, -120% for 2nd, -180% for 3rd etc. So you'll hit target in point blank only with 2-3 bullets and other bullets will miss most likely.
But.. what for? If only you want to buff SG bursters (AR, Fal) or LSW and M60, as their few bullets will deal more damage than few bullets from mini. It'll create another build with 300% SG and 10 PE and sharpshooter, doing 2-3 eye crits in a row with AR by bursting someone's eyes, or mega-cripplers who cripples someone's hand and drop his weapon hitting 3 times in a row with 1 burst. May be it'll work good with some AC and crit changes and Fast Shot trait can be returned as it was long time ago as it'll be really a trait.

Critical bursts and classes that use them already exist and they are pretty powerful.

This idea isnt for buff anyone. Actually, if there would be chance to make critical WITHOUT any additional damage, that would be great.
The only thing i suggest is to add something new/random factor to bursts.

For now, bursts can be extra damage crits, and the only real critical effect could be knock. After this change, there will be chance to drop weapon, cripple leg etc. I think that could bring something fresh for BG/SG bursters build, because fighting can be more unpredictable than now.

Extra damage? NO (bursts crits damage is good as it is now)
Additional bursts effects? YES!

I am not sure, if I am able to comprehend... Let's assume, when I were being critically hit for ~200 hit points by someone wielding Avenger (I would like to add, that even average man using Avenger/LSW has 12/14 action points, which allow him to shoot twice) and according to your suggestion I would also receive an injury(?). It has nothing to do with this suggestion (directly), but why not to make the same effect to take place after being hit with a rocket. Just imagine what kind of impact it is... I have anything to base on at the moment, that you have not already, but I will risk and suggest you creating "burster" with higher than average chance for critical hit and testing it.

Well yeah, about RL its totally truth. Seems reasonable to give RL shots chance to cripple.

About your question. Yes, and no.
I was thinking about diversifying actual burst critical chance (max 25%) for three groups:

-regular crits (exactly the same as it is now) for example: 200hp burst
-cripplings (NO additional damage, but additional cripplings) for example: 60hp burst and left leg crippling
-super-duper crits (mixed first two groups) for example: 200hp shot and left leg crippling

Im aware of devastating critical bursts, as it is now, but if you look closely to suggestion, it actually dont buff bursters. It just add random factor. But it will change drastically fights? I dont think so. Max critical chance for proper BG build is 25%, so 1/3 of 25% for crippling is nearly 1 for 12 bursts. It wont change much, but it could bring something new:) Actually it could buff a little bit DOCTOR skill.

People dont like random factors which they cant affect.
I dont think it would bring anything (meaningful) other than frustration.

Yeh i want to aim eyes with rocket launcher, flamer and grenade too. And i want to aim eyes with disarmed grenade for extremely humiliating instakills.

This suggestion would totally imbalance guns.
