What about, if he can sell brahmin hides to players?
It sometimes very hard to get hides from wasteland (mostly due of PKs)

Already made kind of the same suggestion. You say the problem are PK, but you choose a Modoc (unguarded town) NPC to sell the hides? Not to mention the long walk...
