Biggest Gripe? In it's current state it doesnt have many things to do with fallout. It attracts too many people not knowing what Fallout even is at the moment.

Biggest Love? I can be a loner. I can craft my own weapons, living in a tent. I love that I can help other people setting up somethings, or interacting with others (only them who dont "lol" , "n00b" etc).

Biggest love? The value of your stuff, if you loose it, you have the hate, and when you gain it, you are really satisfied. Because you can always loose what you have.

Biggest Gripe? Not enough RP.

I love possibility to play in MMO Fallout - few years ago it was even unimaginable. Also freedom - you can play as crazy badass with minigun, as shitshoveler, humble drugmaker, loner with tent and few caps in pocket, brave Spartan warrior, even NCR dweller standing whole day next to trash bin. Imagination is the limit.

I hate limitations like cooldowns, timers, level cap, everything that restricts your freedom and forces using alts, fast-relogs or other crap.

Love:The kind of amazing freedom the game gives to yourself, being a thief, akiller, a loner with a dog, a crazy bastard and whatever you want to be is possible here.

Hate:The amazing quantity of fucking 10 years old mentality people that cant support seing other people roleplaying cause they go nuts.

I just love trading. When you have gathered a small amount of stuff, you can start selling/trading/buying more stuff!

Well, I don't really hate anything, but there's a few things which I dislike. But the worst thing is probably unfriendly players, when you try to be friendly, they just shoot you / kill you on sight.

My biggest hate is that the game has so little to do with Fallout / Fallout 2 - they were great, immersive role playing games with interesting quests and characters and stories and the wasteland really had a feel of living, consistent world. 300 players online, if the only interaction they are capable of is shooting you and taking your items while saying something like "dumb nub lololz" or "sori, bed english", doesn't exactly compensate for this.

Ahaha, you're so self-critical ^_^

Love: In most games being "good" is being like most players, because making evil things is disadvantageous, so you have to be very evil person, I don't like this roleplay. Here being evil is much more easier, funny and safely, so roleplaying good means being not like most of players, and of couse being good more satisfies me.

Hate: Alts. Again, playing with alts much more easier and simply... playing without alts - leaving game because of boring or going insane with a time, so alts are necessary for playing.

love: playing fallout with other players

hate: 90% of the other players

My biggest hate is that the game has so little to do with Fallout / Fallout 2 - they were great, immersive role playing games with interesting quests and characters and stories and the wasteland really had a feel of living, consistent world.

hopefully the dialogue contest will bring some of that back.. even though you probably won't get to appreciate it if you have to read them all.

I love that one of my favourite games of all time is still going after ten years.

My hate? The Fallout skinned, resource gathering deathmatch. I want the experience of Fallout 1/2 with other people. I don't care about most other players anymore, I have meaningful interactions with about 2% of them. Even though I insist all towns should be guarded, it takes about five minutes of standing in the NCR to make me froth with hate.

Yeah, I know,it's a lot easier to complain about games than it is to make them.

+ Fallout as MMORPG
+ realtime PvP
+ great maps
+ many various features

- nothing to do, absolutely no surprises when you travel around the wasteland, everything is by the book and well described on wiki, interaction with other players most of the time limited to the exchange of ammo flying with high velocity
- The Settlers:2238 placed in post-apocalyptic world
- forcing players to craft ammo ("ammo should be scarce" pfff waste of time)
- no penalty for death
- GMs pretending to be gods and princesses of 2238
- GMs used as helpdesk and banning tool, all of their interaction with the players are slaps and murders of the guards here and there (but there ARE some examples, just too rare to consider them satisfying)
- PvP broken by swarms, swarms + high HP militia, and various timers (TC timer, drug effect timer and so on)
- full loot makes most of the people caring about their precious items too much
- game is too hard for newbies and too easy for those who have played a bit
- cars are useless
- the ability and the necessity to use alts, even for such simple thing as adding to many bases (about 57 000 alts atm while few hundreds of players online)
- blueshits everywhere
- TB combat
- field of vision
- namecolorizing
- deleting content from the game (no skins, no C4, few rare items)
- joining NPC factions is only to get a profession, sometimes you have to keep an alt in a specific NPC faction just to be able to produce something (drugs)
- no updates, no changelogs
- no reason to roleplay in MMORPG game (roleplay? which alt?)

I'm pretty new, but so far:

Love: It's an online version of Fallout. It's pretty entertaining for what it is, with a lot of interesting features. Persistent player housing and gang bases are awesome.

Hate: The developers are moving towards 3D models. For me, a lot of the charm of this game comes from the old-school, clay-modeled sprites I remember from 1997. I think they still look good to this day. I suspect it's difficult to make new ones just like them, though, without a team of professional artists.

wohoho   ;D

Love:

+ crafting, surviving, interacting
+ PvE (like in fallout)
+ F1/F2 world in MMORPG
+ game potential

Hate:
- enforced PvP (ok I know but there could be some safe zone or towns as only PvP areas)
- no server made namecolorizing based on karma
- thieves/grid campers/tent robbers - the last 2 shouldnt be there of course
- no classes (except powerbuilds)
- powerbuilds
- alting
- lack of NPC driven factions recruitement
- quests require charisma (CMONNNN)
- gun imbalance and its reduction
- deterioration (too complicated system - I bow to the one who invented levels and so on)
- poorly chosen NPC encounters sometimes (marauders next to NCR)
- no zones (low, mid and high level PvE and PvP areas)
- no PvE raids
- no variety in TC levels (low, mid, high tier stuff) and size of gangs

love: everything so far except...

hate: not enough quests for gangs and solo players and such... it gets a little boring sometimes once you've gotten a shit load of gear and reached level 21...what we need is a bazillion quests! All sorts of em' to keep players running around the wastes constantly trying to gain a rep in the wasteland and solve moral dilemmas! Like should I kill this guy who gave me the quest, or should I kill the guy that wants me to kill the guy that gave me the quest? Although the first guy seemed a little suspicious, his story appeared sincere...but if I kill the guy that wants me to kill the guy that gave me the quest i'll get a new vendor to sell to...if I dont kill him I might get ripped off and end up with nothing...what to do? dun dun dun!

I don´t even think I can describe the things I love about this game, mostly since there are so many to count that I´d most likely get flagged as a spammer.

There is only 1 thing that kind of brings my piss to a boil, though:

-The unbalanced PvP system. I´d like to point out first that I respect the developers´ efforts in balancing the PvP system.

Anyway, I absolutely love being on my unarmed character, whether it´s PvP or PvE. But when it comes to PvP I seem to get absolutely obliterated by 2 things, even when wearing APA Mk2 and popping Psycho like in the last event:

Big Gunners and Finesse, mostly Big Gunners. I think some Finesse builds are fascinating when I see them in combat, however the fact that I get my ass handed to me with one shot is absolutely ridiculous, this applies both to Big Gunners and Finesse snipers, but especially Big Gunners. It seems like it doesn´t matter whether your character has over 250hp and 2x Tougness. If you´re unarmed against a Big Gunner, you will die.

Hahahaha I saw that happening to friggin everyone around me, but they never one shot me with minigun....  hmm.  But my biggest problem was them plasma finesse builds, its LITERALLY one shot one kill, your not only knocked out but -200 hp.

Limbos kept getting one shot to 0 hp and i kept having to stim him back to life whenever I happen to stumble on his lazy ass :P.

I have tosay, FO:Tactics isn't bad at all, I mean, it isn't a pure fallout game, in fact, with the lack of dialogue it reminds me a little of FOnline, if anything, people should frag the living shit out of each other in FO:T instead of griefing in FOnline.

I must say, here's something interesting, Tim Cain's own words about FO3, and a few other things: Start Watching from 1:50 if you want to skip listenng to the LongHairDude (Matt Chatt). (My Opinion) FOS5:EESM (FalloutScrolls5: Elders, Enclave & Super Mutants) didn't quite cut it, too buggy, but with a few mods it looks, feels and plays out better, but still suffers from a bland FPS system

--my favourite town of Fallout and fallout 2 are here! :D

hate:
--cant enter this towns, cause i will be shot
--so called pvp player who use bugs and who force the other players to play like them (nothing against real pvp, but just shooting bluesuit when they gather brahmin hide for their first tent is childish)
--youre acting in the game has no consequences, even if your thief our suicider or simply a bloodthristy raider
--underrated unarmed, melee, and sg. if you wanna be on the top, you need a drugabusing tankchr, which is boring
-- level cap, one reason for this army of alts
--the little crafting bonsai, less things to create  (integrate more items to create and more items in encounters!), to less professions to populate the wastes with specialists
--no intercations with the gameworld, most people use or abuse the wastes fpr their counterstrike in 2d, its just a playground
--no dynamic gameworld, the towns are there, the npc factions are there but nothing ever happen, even if 2 million players to sign in to the enclave
--cars are useless , when youre faster with high outdoor and pathffinder

-me wanna craftable nukes for town control :D

+ teamates on mumble (only reason i stay)
- there were good things in last 4 eras, but they were erased, not supported or not developed into funny actions,(because developers did not realize how to make multi player rpg)

 i.e.:
* brahmin traders are useless, i remeber players who hunted and sold brahmins, because of roleplay (brahmin meat => n.1 resource  for drugs => roleplaying between gangs and loners - brahmin hunters)
* cities are empty, but every era you add new locations into the game => you take away the purpose of existing locations (i.e.: chemical stuff for drugs => new location for only one purpose)
* you want to separate multi pvp and northern cities, but nobody visit cities (even on safe south), so they will be more empty after post wipe enthusiasm
 * if there evolve something like roleplay, you dont support  or you ban it and it dissapears:

merchants(role play traders - where they are now?),
church of wipe(you were not able to add few robe skins),
radio madbrahmin (because of dual logs - originaly aimed against PvP dual loggers),
caravan hunting (because you think that it destroys economy => ruined multi PvE),
scavenging (well, if you think that speleology is kind of scavenging)

But on other way, instead of supporting existing,  players naturaly evolved role playes, devs tried to make they own RP, but people dont care  (HUB rp project, Vault rp project, NCR army rp project), that are sometimes bad idea from the ground.

i,e: NCR army : people who wants to multi PvP were already in gangs PvP and they dont want to listen any "general" when they will be able to PvP, for christ, so this effort was totaly useless (instead of supproting multi PvE or whatever)

 * unable to use whole SPECIAL and SKILLS for PVP (unarmed, melee, medic, traps, smallguns /most of them//)
 * unable to add purpose for clasic guns  (pistols, shotguns), because you are to afraid to edit stats

Generaly, developers are to afraid to leave Fallout offline game aproach, but instead of this, they are integrating non post apocaliptic visions into the game:

post nuclear world where you can craft hi-tech weapons, where instead of caravans network exist railroads,

love

- fallout online
- crafting, making stuff from scrach
- traveling, visiting all locations from fallout 1 and 2
- killing npcs, trading etc. everything you could do in f1 and 2
- interacting with players
- having a tent, bases
- some quests

hate

- boring, repetetive encounters
- alts ( i think alts should be prohibited, or the timout for character change should be increasted to 1 day )
- level cap
- 3d rats, 3d stalkers, 3d ants
- the idea that fallout will be converted into 3d
- lack of karma system ( name colourising based on karma is a great idea imo )
- too many quake fans in game, too little roleplayers
- too many powerbuilds on drugs and bluesuits, and too little typical wastelanders
- too many epmty locations which have no purpose other than pvp. each town should have something that is worth visiting ( for example Klamath should be the only place where you can buy/sell gecko skins for a good price from vendors,( in all other towns you would sell for very little and buy for tons of caps ) it would ecourage people to travel, maybe it would be a good reason to create caravans )
- edit: way too much high tier items. plasma rifles and combat armors should be epic items reserved for few players

i cant think of anything else atm

 - The role play potential (yet to be used, I hope)

Hate:

 - Too much high-tech stuff (boomsticks and rocks for everyone!)
 - The majority of players who see Fonline as another clone of Quake and don't even TRY to role play

What RolePlay ? Man i play PvP beacuse here is no RP. Only RP what is here is A: "Hello, how are you ?" ... B: .e shooting.
Sorry but go to ... (somewhere) with your Quake players. This termin made Jovanka beacuse she hated how we whined about too much waiting in game.
Until time when here will be some posibility to play RP, or good PvE or good long quests then i will play it. But now ? Only funv from Fallout Online is PvP, for me.

The reason why there is no (or very little) role play is that most of the players don't care or they'll do everything to ruin an "RP event" for the rest. From what I've seen RP works only in relatively small groups especially in the same language group. The Knights of Ni (the original one-timer), the Spartans, Fight Club or lately the Cannonball Race are all player made "events", sometimes partly-RP with very little intervention from the GM's.
The conclusion is simple. You want Role Play, you have to make it yourself

Man i play PvP beacuse here is no RP.
When there was no wheel on the world, some smart people started to think and bang! here it is.
Same with RP - if there is none, create it. Even while fighting you still can play a role of some sort, simply except "omfg u n00b i pwn u" write "Where did you learn to shoot so clumsy, boy?". Sense is similiar, but it looks totally different for both sides, right? I still remember couple of yahoos I've met in brahmins encounter. After I shot to the cow, these guys shot me down yelling "We are from Greenpeace, it's forbidden to kill animals! You will be punished!". Fun, wasn't it? :>

only pvp power builds enjoy real time because it ensures them victory with their builds. there is no strategic value in waiting in a town for someone to walk in so you can mow them down with their minigun powerbuild, almost every single person i played with has stopped playing because of what the game turned into over the past few months.

There are ways to fight back powerbuild fuckers you know....  Just catch them alone, hunting some poor bluesuits...  Then jump their asses with 3 lsw nd 2 rocket launcer mercenary squad!!!  Use their Precious Real Time against them! bwahahah!  :P

But then Im pretty much using the same tactic...  Except Im zerging.

This is a great game so far, but there are still some kinks to work out.

Love:
-The intensity of combat and gaming, it really keeps you on your toes.
-The bases and group wandering system. This is really cool for the game.
-The game in general, fo1 and fo2 were great games.

Hate:
-The constant need to always be mining and crafting all the damn time. Things break down far too rapidly.
-Dying and losing everything. This goes with the above comment, you die and you start to mine and craft over again...It doesn't leave much time to enjoy the game.
-Everyone always just killing you during random encounters. Every time another person appears they just fire. There should be something in place you have to turn on to PvP when you want to or some sort of way to instigate PvP.
-Cool down time for everything. make it just a little lower, make your chars able to mine and gather a little more

Biggest love: It's an online remake of Fallout 1 and 2, keeping it's spirit of wasteland with few new spices.
Biggest hate: Blatant PvP. (Don't get me wrong, I like PvP, but it needs to be more strategic other than just click and kill).

LOVE: Fallout. :D

HATE: RT..............Fallout is not realtime, its a singleplayer turnbased engine, shoved into RT.
It sucked in tactics and it sucks in this. At least in tactics u HAD a chance to run away, without dreaded lag attack :(

LOVE: Fallout. :D
If Combat was TB only, i think there would be more stratergy in combat.

This would be impossible, ever done town control, or combat with like 40 players?

Imagine how long a single turn would be.

I understand that, but RT is still a steaming pile of lag shit.

on the other hand, I prefer RT. I feel RT is an exceptional fallout experience and when played properly (ie. not simply stand there and shoot + press stims) provides a truly engaging and interesting fallout experience.

also, TB is buggy as shit when it comes to pvp.

Love: speed of the combat, full loots, bases and tents, post-apocaliptic theme
Hate: starting new char, interface (how great was it with FOCD features ;-) )

Funny, cause if i shoot or get shot in RT, then try to move, he just moonwalks.
No point in trying to move.

Maybe my internet speed is shit.
