The server is now back to normal, all since the last wipe registared characters are intact and can be used again.
FEATURES:
- Not always the past was better. Now we are living in the future again, be happy.
IMPORTANT:
You have to run the Updater, to obtain the "new" files. In case you might have some problems with "error" messages in the main menu or character creation, go into your FOnline client directory and delete the *.cache files and restart the client / press enter, to refresh the cache. If you see flaming people after that, restart the client. Just like after the last wipe.

Ok, so I ran the updater, deleted all cache files, ran the game, logged in and I then see this:

For the 8 mounths I have played this game I have never seen anything like that.

I still have a problem with "error" messages in the main menue...
I deleted all *.cache files.. =/..

You have to press enter, to connect to the server. Then a new cache file is downloaded. Also you have to restart the client, if you deleted all *.cache files before.

I do not have any account on FOnline, so it can't connect me to the server. I need to create a character i think.. =(

Srry for my English, i and my friends are from Russia, but now we all have unreal ping, and just cant to play. We realy want to, but this laggs are unreal. Srry, may be this topic is not for this things, i realy dont know where else to write. Fixed smth please and we all will bless u and will love u for death! P.s. the day befor yesterday all was good, problems are continuing for 2 days.

Yup, i know your pain, the lags are just awful. I lost some quite neat stuff to some silly raiders with assault rifles due to the lag, wich is just unbearable punch in the groin to me.

Psycho prices need fixed.
They're supposed to be at 1000, they're 700. That's a 1900 cap decrease in price from pre-wipe. :/ Not that a 1600 cap decrease was better.

Question to devs about game rules:
- Maintaining someone below 0 health points, preventing him/her from respawning.
I think that since there is a command to commit suicide (~cuttheveins), this rule doesn't seem to be necessary any longer.

Upgraded FN FAL is underpriced i think,it gives you 1117 xp when you make it and sells for 1117 caps in stores.
Its price is $5585, so the xp is right. I expect it was just not on the Traders list, so factored barter in to the price.
And yes, cuttheveins kind of makes that rule pointless

Ok, I have to admit, you did a lot of good work, keep it up. Theres just one issue Im very unhappy with now - LAGS, they just spoil all the fun :/

Im not worried about the xp given for the upgrade of an FAL.I get 1200 xp for making a p90 so it seemed like the right ammount of xp for a gun that has less materials and considering i can buy a very used FAL from traders for around 500 caps.I tried to sell it in the hub and in ncr and each trader gave me the same price of 1117 caps.Im well aware that certain items are on certain traders lists but unless your telling me that Sha,Buster,Jackob,and the lady in the Hub market dont have this gun on their lists Im still saying its a bug.It doesnt seem weird that the price 1117 is exactly the same as the xp 1117?It seems like maybe the number got mixed up with the price when it was implemente.

You have my vote for removing this system and going back to the original barter system... Maybe only make them buy ammo at full price, or something, because ammo is always in high demand, that would make sense. But come on, no trader is going to purchase an item and then sell it at the same price he bought it for.

I love it. It made me use traders again. With everything at sane prices I can just get some weak healing powder or rope and don't need to craft any ammo nor weapons so far. Both my shotgun and all of my ammo I have bought at the general store in Hub and if it goes back to the way it was, I'll be one unhappy crafter-fighter :/

Today I've focused on Librarian's auto messages and checked server goes down every 2 hours and 10 minutes +/- <10 minutes (and for less than 4 minutes). I don't know if it helps, but it doesn't look like coincidence.

It's the russians. Always short before they loose the TC, they crash the server, to get a rollback. Heh.
We told already, that there is a memory leak since ~ 2 months, which can not be fixed by us. We have to wait for a patch.

This happened to me few times usually in lag spikes. I think it happened to me because it was lagged for a longer time. Anyway I'm not saying this is also your case, cause I really don't have enough info to say that. :)

Hum it's the same for everybody I think, it doesn't come from your connection. I have some disconnections every hours/twice an hour. And I know that a member of my team, when it was very laggy, was disconnected every minutes ! Even with a good internet connection.

For me, I got instant disconnections all time when I'm close to exit grids to leave a place.

But I found how to "solve" this...
While running somewhere, from time to time frequently press ">" and "<" buttons to rotate your character. Also change main hands. If you see that NPCs are not appearing, but they must be there and you typing any random message and it's not appearing = that's all, in like 15-20 sec you'll be disconnected. But, you can leave game yourself and instanty login again, and it'll be ok. All you need is when you running long distances stop sometimes and do any action.
Btw, esiest way is making Doctor skill on self (hotkey "6"). No matter you need doctor or not, your character wll perform action, that's all server need to not disconnect you.
Also you can notice that you NEVER disconnect if simply standing in NCR and doing nothing or talking, but NOT running on long distance.
And you will ALWAYS disconnect in the same place. If you don't believe me, you can test one thing:
1) You're standing near workbrench.
2) Run from a building, and press run to Exit Grid near Vortis Holding.
3) Watch.
4) You'll be disconnected there (exact position, if you do not perform any action and simply run):

But, if you will make doctor on self, or do something in inventory or anyhow force your character do something (really rotating character (">" "<" buttons) works terrible, better use doctor) you won't disconnect.

Use repair on self. That does always does nothing.
As for disconnects. Just run in small steps. Maybe 10-20 hexes at a time. Also go get this, it's awesome and shows you how much lag you have. I changed the colour from blue to grey to make it better visible.

Umm... just reviewing the 3D mobs. Deathclaw looks badass, He is exactly like he needs to look like, except the green thingy on its back just doesn't make it look right. As any other model - the red target indicator doesn't work. Dessert stalker is badass too, but it looks weird without a shadow and its attacking animation is too long. No target indicator and sound doesn't work too. Havn't seen any other 3D monster.

The missing shadow and outlines are because of your graphic card, which most likely doesn't support the used shader.

Van Buren models were made in somewhere like 2003 and it can't show such plain stuff? You must really be joking!

FOnline is not Van Buren. It's not the same engine and it doesn't use the same technics. And yes, Van Buren models don't have shadows. In fact, no 3d model has shadows. They are generated in the game.
There was a bug thread somewhere about not visible outlines, etc. I wrote there that people shall post their fonline.log file. So far only a few people have done this.

About 3D issues:
Just after the last wipe I could normally see contours in attacking mode. My friend told me he can't see it. It seemed strange and after some time (and updates) I've noticed I can't see contour any longer. More of it... Sometimes I had all black models (like no light or texture). So what the hell is with it? My card can handle reflexions and dynamic lightning/shadows in newest Stalker but not the contours?

Sorry, don't know where to post it, but, at Gunrunners at Fortress, dual-minigun turret don't have ammo anymore, it's 0/800, you should rearm it and make infinite. ;p

What's happening to server? After 30 minutes crash and now server was online for 10 minutes and it's offline again...
EDIT: As I thought: it was crash... So next crash is coming within 3-5 minutes, beware people!

It's like today morning. I've sold some things to NPC then the server crashed. I wish it will stand up again in some minutes becouse I was going to school in some minutes. I was dissapointed but in 30 minutes it wasn't even busy, still off... and my topic about the crashes was moved to junk? Something stinks here... we wants answers!

down now 1045pm there was an update no announcement for it but 3 files downloaded... lol now game doesn't work anymore + plus the server is down lol .... :P

Be patient! Devs prefer do use that extra five minutes to tweak the server than to give you a live report of what they're doing. If something indeed happened, they'll let you know after they find out what did. Most probably TLA had another update and you got their files as it's the same updater.

When you try to launch it is anyone else getting the whole ( Error error error ) screen? Or just the normal screen?
