How about craftable robes?
For example 4x fibers for plain robe; 4x fibers 2x fruit for purple robe; 4x fibers 2x xander root for the hubologists robe.
What do you guys think?
edit: Sorry, wanted to place it to the Suggestions. :-[

This would be more of a suggestion.
But fyi (just in case you dont know) you can buy robes for i think 200 caps a piece at necropolis hall of the Dead.

Yeah, I also noticed the misplacement.
And I know that I can buy purple robes, but I was just thinking about why not craft it.
-
Yes, being able to craft ropes is a good idea.
Tier 1. Plain rope. ( 4x fibers )
Tier 2. Purple rope ( 4x fibers 2x fruit ) & Hubologists rope. ( 4x fibers 2x xander root )
I like the idea Subcor, :D exspecially the materials you mentioned they should requiere,
maybe even having a dye tub, should be the requirement to craft them,
it would seem abit odd pouring colouring over the work bench. :P
Roin.

Pretty much the only reason to go to necro is for some snazzy purple threads.
-
I have been wondering why those cannot be crafted already...
I'm on it!
Just no tiers required... robes are even worse than jacket that can be crafted by anyone...

RP-Trolling-Selling EW for caps.

I found out that this topic died and imo it was good suggestion.
Maybe it would be possible to connect robe crafting to blueprints or NPC faction or just use them as basic armor craft avaible for everyone.
It looks better than bluesuit and for sure it has great value to town healers and roleplayers ;)

Currently, robes are used as money drain. That's why you get them only in two places and in both they always cost 100 / 200 caps. I dunno if robes will ever become craftable.
-
how about a support perk
you are now wearing a permanent skin of a robe, but with no benefits
and wearing robes will make you a bluesuiter
-
I'd rather have it craftable...
Izual was against giving skins post-wipe so i doubt you'll get the skin via support perk
