Title: A new Quest idea

Uranium Delivery:

Gecko and VC are nuclear powered, the BOS and the "Shi Emperor" complex probably are to, They must all need reactor fuel. The Enclave must need Uranium to produce MFCs for it's troops. Ghouls enjoy a warm glow from being around radiation. All that Uranium must come from Broken Hills. So how about a delivery quest (jerky-style) for uranium

Source: BH refinery ghoul.
Requirements: Level 5+ (important cargo, not for beginners), science 60+ (to safely handle hazardous materials), CH 5+ (seem trustworthy).
Receive: 1 load of uranium (use box pic)

Deliver to:
Harold (gecko), "Amenities officer" (VC), "Emperor's attendant" (SF), "Quartermaster" (BOS), "Supply sergeant" (navarro), "Ghoul Merchant" (necropolis).

Reward:
20 MFC, 50 SEC, 400xp(gecko),  2 stimpack 300xp(VC), superstimpack 800xp (SF), 100 7.62mm ammo 400xp (BOS), 30MFC, 800xp(navarro), 500 caps, 600xp (necropolis), +50 or so reputation (where delivered)

Repeatable: once per game week?

I downloaded the dialog editor and am competently lost so if anyone feels like coding this properly and submitting it themselves please feel free!

I really like idea, but i think it should be included in bigger idea: caravan quests.


PS: rewards are waaaaaay to high. This means: zilion alts, just for taking that quest over and over, than, after a week, same re-log route.

just without those requirements it is fine. Enough pain is that when i quest level pvp ape i have to take mentats.

I think its good quest but way to low level requirments

Well, one vote for higher requirements and one for lower. Maybe that means it's about right?

It is ok quest, except jet antidote reward.

Changed, and added missing VC reward.

Agreed about the caravan quests.

The rewards are a bit higher than the Jerky Delivery but so are the requirements, and some of the distances traveled. Also the Enclave and Bos deliveries can only be done by Faction members, and the Gecko delivery is to an unprotected location. I also understand that the Jerky Quest is rarely done because the rewards are regarded as insufficient. What in particular seems excessive?

Quite interesting job-quest, but if broken hills are of interest for all those big factions, isn't it good background for some bigger pvp scenarió? We've got few of them in plans since ages, i wonder whether this would conflict or not.

I wouldn't think there would be a conflict, you could even(code permitting) make them interact. For example if NPC faction A has "won control" of BH through some other scenario then the rewards for delivering to other factions could increase, but the player would suffer a reputation hit with the controlling faction. Come to think of it Deliveries could give a modest reputation increase normally, doubled when 'smuggling'.

Hmm... Is NPC-driven faction capable of taking something now?

Didn`t really try...

But some caravan-related system should be interesting...
For example if VC taking control over BH, price of Uranium Ore for VC citiesens lowering and for NCR-citiesens Rising... oops, there in no NCR-NPC-driving faction x_X

Somethin' like capturable bases? I rembember someone suggestin' em some time ago. A sort of prewar Ammo Crafting Facility, that when captured once every hour-day-week gave ammo to the faction controlling it.
It's somethin' like that?

More or less. Initial concept was to allow npc factions members participating in those activities, later when we saw the importance of gangs, we wanted gangs to be able to affiliate with those bigger players and participate under their banners.

It *should* be implemented some day.
