Title: Changelog 2/04/2013

FIXES:
- Disabled probable cause of some occasional huge lags on the public server.
- Solution for "character already in game" problem (if you provide correct password and have the same IP, the server will drop connection of the character in game).
- Fixed some encounter NPCs not reacting on player being too close in certain cases.
- Fixed some encounter NPCs protecting players against predators.
- Followers set to flee in combat are no longer unprotected in guarded towns.
- Gunrunners delivery case is no longer stackable (it was a source of certain glitches).
- Ammunition in the BB gun in the Tent in the Wasteland quest isn't lost when the gun is unloaded with full magazine.
- Removed Vertibird from Navarro map.

FEATURES:
- Smart Cursor - for the most common tasks, the default cursor will detect automatically if item hold in active hand slot can be used on object pointed by the cursor and use the item once the object is clicked. For example clicking a brahmin dung with the arrow cursor will clean it if you hold a shovel in hand (selecting "use on" mode is not necessary). Smart Cursor works with following tasks: collecting fibres, shoveling brahmin dung, chopping wood, mining, digging graves (to cover graves you still have to use "use on" mode in shovel).
- Players can sell gold nuggets in Redding bank.
- Added a new special encounter.

CHANGES (WIP):
- Mining system, has been reworked (see New Mining System below).
- Along with changed mining system, Redding, Broken Hills and Gecko mines have been reworked. All the mines are bigger and have a "monster lair" area with a stronger enemy. Generally, the farther from the mine entrance, the stronger and faster respawning mobs. Broken Hills mine has a new alternative entrance - a ladder in the mine leads to a corridor connected with Broken Hills dungeon. Gecko mine has 2 entrances with preview available from World Map.
- Unguarded mines in Redding, Broken Hills and near Gecko are no-logout (your character won't disappear if you logoff there).
- Slightly decreased weight of minable resources. Volume of all minable resources is set to 2.
- Good Metal Parts and Advanced Gunpowder can be crafted with Workbench. High Quality Alloys still require Advanced Workbench.
- All caravan wagons have 10x larger volume capacity.
- Chemical components now use similar system as the new mining. Piles with Chemical Components (http://cubeupload.com/im/SVBvFI.jpg) appear on random barrels in the second map of Toxic Caves and in Waterworks. A new pile is generated 15 seconds after a pile has been collected (there is more than one pile in both locations).
- All respawning mobs (for example ants in Broken Hills) after death forget characters who attacked them.
- Some encounter NPCs can push players away when they get too close.
- A few adjustments in inventories of Enclave and Brotherhood of Steel encounters.
- Crafting Healing Powders doesn't require workbench.
- Stimpak and Super Stimpak recipes were made slightly cheaper.
- Stimpak, Super Stimpak, Radaway and Rad-X are now craftable in batches of 5.
- Small changes in Hinkley (more spawns in the Pit arena and some boxes blocking field of view in team rooms for sneakers).
- Player characters can no longer fly with Vertibirds or TARDIS.

EXTRA NOTES:
- Run the updater to obtain the new files.
- Output of +requesthelp (http://fo2238.fodev.net/wiki/Requesthelp) command is now visible for Game Masters on IRC, even if they are not logged into game.
- Server messages are passed to Librarian (IRC (http://fo2238.fodev.net/wiki/IRC) bot by Cpt.Rookie) and visible on #2238 channel.

IMPORTANT:
- Clear cache before updating and running the game. To clear the cache, delete everything in data\cache folder and run Updater. Remember that it will also clear the last used login/password.


New Mining System

Summary

Instead of rocks, mines contain resource veins. Each vein holds a number of resources of specific type. When a vein is depleted, another vein in the mine is generated. The type of a new vein is in most cases random, although the chance for each type vary, depending on mine. The only exception is if it was the last vein of a type, in such case another vein with the same type is generated.

Available Mines

Redding mine has 10 veins of following types: Iron Ore, Minerals, High Quality Iron Ore, High Quality Minerals, Gold. A new vein is generated immediately after another vein has depleted.

Broken Hills mine has 10 veins of following types: Iron Ore, Minerals, High Quality Iron Ore, High Quality Minerals, Uranium. A new vein is generated immediately after another vein has depleted.

Gecko mine has 10 veins of following types: Iron Ore, Minerals, High Quality Iron Ore, High Quality Minerals. A new vein is generated immediately after another vein has depleted.

Guarded mines (near Shady Sands, Junktown, Klamath, San Francisco) have 4 veins of following types: Iron Ore, Minerals. A new vein is generated 2 minutes after a vein has depleted.

Ghost Farm mine has 2 veins of following types: Iron Ore, Minerals. A new vein is generated 2 minutes after a vein has depleted.

Bunker Base has 2 veins of following types: Iron Ore, Minerals. A new vein is generated 10 minutes after a vein has depleted.

Player Mine has 2 veins of following types: High Quality Iron Ore. In the first 14 real days a new vein is generated 12 hours after a vein has depleted (roughly 220 High Quality Iron Ores can be mined in Player Mine if done regularly). After 14 days new veins won't generate and player can buy a new mine - the old mine will be deleted when a new one is bought. Player Mines usually come with a few mobs of random type inside. The mobs will respawn, although very slowly.

Mining Tools

With Primitive Tool you can mine Iron Ore and Minerals only. With Sledgehammer you can mine Iron Ore, Minerals and High Quality Iron Ore. With Super Sledge you can mine all types of veins.

I cannot update, updater console says invalid configuration even after clearing cache.

Also, what is the point of being able to craft Good Metal Parts and Advanced Gunpowder on regular wb if everything you craft with them requires adv. wb?

Wouldn't be more logical if ALL NPCs would also fight those predators. There is no logic if those npc only attack you and go away, without harming anyone else.

the point is you can bring more materials to the WB on a single character, especially for ammo crafting

Big whoop,so much of it has been stolen over the past year you can now buy it for shovels.

i wouldnt mind it, but farming hub/vc for 5mm ammo is useless since they drop so small amounts. not to mention farming unity wastes more MFC than it gives. not to mention crafting this shit is boring as fuck.

HQ minerals arent supposed to be there. Just two HQ iron ore veins, which regenerate 12h after you deplete them.

Also the fixes are great, stealing was foolish and broken.

But why are you adding +5s to the Fix-Boy and not simply making a quantity meter? 

Oh, also new mining and dungeons are just amazing.

And what is the new SE? @_@

New mining seem fun, I usually dont mine, I tryed now: it is fun go around with critters running after me  :D .
Good idea the supersledge needed to mine hq minerals and uranium.

And now you may easily understand what you can mine from a pile of rock, so any new player should get it now - good work!

Fixboy improvements have been on to do list for a long time, but there is a rework of scripted GUI going on and complex changes in interface depend on it. Some stuff has to be done step by step, any quick/temporary solutions would mean the same work would have to be done twice, which is not a very attractive perspective. And reworking Fixboy is not some trivial task which we could do in two hours.

And what is the new SE? @_@

I guess I can spoil the name of it: A bus stop on the highway. It's rather small, both size and award-wise (but still nice to find).

You can actually sell 10 nuggets at once, if you have at least 10.

After next update it won't be possible to sell gold nuggets (in Redding bank) which came from TC locker and all the nuggets mined before the next update. So if you want to sell some, be quick, and don't waste time on hoarding them now... On the bright side, the price of new nuggets will be increased to 100 caps. There is thousands of nuggets, and it kind of blocks increasing their price, so old nuggets will stay the way they were before - as more or less useless yellow rocks (you can still sell them for 50 caps in normal traders) and the new ones will be exchangeable for caps in the bank.

In every update you improve one part of game and totaly ruin another.

With 300% steal u have also big CHANCE to fail.
After i stole 30SS to 80SS i get shot by bos. It's not UNTOLD amount.

I like this update.
-Stealing is nerfed. No more unlimited amounts of 5mm ap and ss. Economy is already broken, but after a future wipe it would not be so badly broken.
-It has become harder to farm (read: exploit) gatling lasers. So these will get rarer as time passes, which is how it should be.
-Smart cursor is just awesome.
-Modified and cheaper recipies in fixboy. Its a good thing.
-New way of farming chem comps. I tried it out. Not as efficient as before, but atleast someone cant come and take them all in 15 seconds like before.
-New and bigger mines with more critters in them. Havent actually mined in them yet, but sounds like a fun place to be! Might get annoying with resources moving around alot in mines though.

Since you needed to create new char, level him so he can actualy steal, you needed basic know-how to steal, you got shot alot and got karma drops. It was much more of risk than crafting which was more time consuming.

These are totally game braking updates for me. Why would you increase grind even more? How are we suppoused to farm 5mm AP, MFC? Crafting ammounts needed for pvp takes forever, besides not everyone like it. And now we have to kill BoS just to acquire few SS for evening TC? That's riddiculous. These changes will reduces player interaction to even lower level that it was before. Making obtaining gear even more time consumable its not the way to go. With all due respect, please, undo this changes and bring back the old system.

I dont agree.

Its very fun and easy to kill big bos patrol and take a lot of stuff. If you just play fonline for pvp you dont play fonline, then go on tla mk2.Now craft superstims and stims is more easier, craft was broken and everyone was farming to take stuff. This equilibrate the game and i think this update is nice.

Did you happen to miss one of the most active suggestion threads in the past 2 months?

To simplify,no it was not ok. No lifes kept depleting them and they would refill every few hours.

I stole SS, mostly for the simplicity and less clicking required, which was giving me arthritis. It took 0% actual skill, and the rewards of such a petty activity were boundless. Now you will actually have to put in some effort to gather these items, which would normally be pretty rare in the world.

If you don't like crafting, than simply don't, and buy it from a person who does enjoy it. It makes the game more dynamic, and actually increases the number of Player to Player trades necessary to gather such things. I think nerfing these specifically, SS and 5mm steals, will reorient the economy to a player based system, as it should have been all along in my opinion.

That's in PRIVATE MINES.
There is no need to make players visit private mine more often, it's supposed to be investment which gives return after longer period of time.

sry but game moved from status: for gamers by gamers, now its for gamers by nongamers :D did you ever play it? or look at suggestions, talk with all on irc. Everytime when someone try it you send him to hell so... its your server, your choises, your faults.

For me its good changes i can easily make same amount of things but why i need to spedn hours and hours for that? Now its really unfair, i think it can be same like before update with radios. No one now about that and some Brujah or who tryied to buy them before it by auction. So some players will be prepared, and you like always didnt nothing against it like wipe or what. You didnt make balance, you only totally nerf one thing. And for another made small boost.

I liked old mining system.

It was good for me, my cow and my lockers. Getting used to new one will take some time but it does look interesting too - the only problem i see is that we now have to do new Meele/Miner alt since with Super Sledge as a mining tool and Deathclaws/Firegeckos as opponents it seems nessesery.

Hi all. PvP is only for richiest?What have rest of people do than ? Idle in Ncr? In old system it was already tuns of time do earn enough stuff to town controls. In new system it will be much much longer.U can predict that few places where u can craft stims now will be full of thicks PKs and sneakers. So if u survive on mines u will not survive near crafting table . I dont agree.

Its very fun and easy to kill big bos patrol and take a lot of stuff.

Can't say it's that good. I just farmed BoS with 5 guys and got about 100 superstims in a hour. That's 20 superstims per guy in one hour.

I never said "I" would, I just was mentioning that it is one alternative to garner the necessary funds to buy SS, MFC, and 5mm from players who don't constantly complain about the crafting system.

I can't say that the system is "great" or anything, but this is a huge step to making it worthwhile.

And I agree, high-tier farming, like Enclave and BoS should be done in groups, not by dual-logging exploiters.

Teamwork is rewarded anyway. If you are five and enemy is 1, you always win.

The problem is that 1. Bos is super tough. 2. They often have just 1 stim per paladin.

TLA MK II is much better server. Good pvp and crafting system, lot of quest and the game is much more balanced than 2238.
I have feeling that 2238 is going to die soon.

, then i went to buy 360 Biomed Gels (9000caps) and i have had enough empty Empty Hypodermics. The last step was to collect 120 Chemical Components in toxic caves. THIS took me over 2 hours, non-stop running around collectin chems 2 by 2, shooting golden geckos...

Crafting itself is just fraction of whole process, in sum it took around 4 hours + 10k+ in caps.

This is much more time consuming than it ever was, i like all new carfting mechanics becouse those seem srly reasonable, but extend all sources (make spawn 2 barrels in toxic caves and waterworks, make biomed gels cost 10 or 15caps, empty hypodermics costs 5 caps each, also make spawn Xander Roots and Broc Flowers in same amounts becouse xander roots seems to be 3 times more rare.

NOTE: regular stim should be craftable ALSO with medical terminal

dev team try to lose all pvp players, and half pvp players. Cause after it there  will be some players which only ask how look special encounters, where they can shitshovel... Its easy to answer them, add soem grave digging...

You could steal, craft or trade it was your decision. Developers instead of balancing craft/stealing just completely nerfed one of theese ways to get SS and ammo. Now you are forced to craft or trade or kill bos patrols.

It just occured to me that pvp apes would need to play the game if they want to fight (and avoid the idling timer) while GM would no longer need to play it, in order to do their stuff. Considering that GM help, it is a fair thing, but it is also somehow ironic.

We play all the time to yesterday :D. I was crafter for two years, after that they nerfed totally crafting, so i started play pvp and now they nerfed pvp, so what now. Maybe idling in towns, make tb traps, pk on mine, V15, Necropolis. No thanks its not about finding new ways, i have things for 3 months of play. Our gang has great storage. Porblem is no one will now play there if some group from south start now. They will gather some ss from craft after many times pking, gather some mineral and after all they ill try some tc. Boom we or bbs or some another gang will apper and smash them its not hard to be prepared. This update isnt problem for us, its problem for souths which remains to this bad days.

What I notice since last months:

- now CA MK2 in game, pretty easy to get and don't need blueprint
- armors give full protection if there are over 50%
- idling system to avoid fast-relog pvp apes
- great tent system: you don't need xxx k caps to have safe places everywhere for all your characters

Sometimes devs make some points harder (like nerfing stealing SS, MFC and 5 mm AP), but maybe this is to balance the game.

I've read so much messages here, telling the server is dying, there's no players anymore, devs are killing pvp...
The server is still here, since last july there are still the same amount of players and pvp still exists.

Maybe the main problem is there's too much whiners.

The new mining system is strange; let me use Redding as example. It used to be that I could go in and pick what I wanted, 15-20 HQ minerals or ores per trip, plus 1.5-2k experience from aliens. Great way to build up HQ stuff and level a character at the same time.

Now I run into pig rats more than aliens, and it seems like I have to run around and mine things I don't need to get the HQ to respawn. Even though I can see how the no depletion would be more friendly to newbies and the previous group of mine-complainers; I just wanted to mention the gathering is more of a random grab bag at present, in some ways less efficient than it used to be.

Yea I will increase ammount you can get from one pile, this is a bit too much hassle for low quality chemical. But the amount of SS you could get from BoS stealing was just too much. Stealing from encounters was never supposed to be the most efficient way to get top tier gear, the whole idea that to compete you have to level thief alt and exploit BoS encounters is just plain ridiculous. The only reason players think they "need" 20 SS in pocket is because they could turbo-farm them. And well, I think spamming SS is just too effective. But some people will defend the most ridiculous exploits and mechanics if they get used to them.

About flowers/roots, maybe we could add them in Klamath and Modoc in similar way as components, but much more. Enough to make it faster to gather them there than in encounters. I think gathering stuff in unsafe public locations should be the fastest in general. Another way could be gardening in bases (slower income but you wouldn't have to do it actively).

Yes you have to spend some time in the mine not just rush in, hit rock 10 times, rush out. But overall you can get a lot more ore this way, because it never depletes, especially if you cooperate with someone. Weaker mobs near entrance are by design, aliens are in the eastern part with the queen in the last room. Also the pig rats have 15 minute respawn time, same with ants and little geckos in other mines. The mobs deeper in the mine spawn much faster ("bosses" every 3 minutes), if you wanted to XP while mining, then Broken Hills is probably the best now, the deathclaw gives around 1800 xp as far as I remember and there are 2 small ones there too.

Yes, I think for example SS could heal you to full HP but you could use like one in 10 seconds. So it would give you advantage in PvP or save your butt, but you wouldn't have to carry ridiculous amounts of it.

Well personally I think wearing good armor should give you good protection no matter how much HP you have, high HP being a sort of the last line of defense. So for example if you put CA MkII on a 60hp low level character, it could survive two bursts but bluesuit with 290hp could maybe survive one.

My idea is simple, make crafting SS same time consuming as stealing was, then players would have nothing to whine about and i also believe it will be not any uninteded bug/expoilt. Just rational and easy to do crafting. Less time necessary for PVE feature and more time to use products of crafting. I believe this is a solution.

I can make a study of both ways (past stealing vs present crafting) if you would be interstested in numbers and facts about both.

I don't believe you have only half of a brain, but you notice only the bad part just to whine.

First good point is you would need less SS, so less farming.
Second good point is you will have to stop playing without a brainless ape because you could die more easily.
Third good point is you will need twice less time to cure yourself.
But this would change a bit behaviors in pvp, so I can understand this could frighten old farts players.

It would be good if they just hide in caves or protected towns, but they hide and whisper devs how they should rework pvp so they can kill pvp ape bg with their hth or sg spammer :) at begin this session had broken features, later troll features and now anti pvp features :) next step they will bring back troll features so bellowed by Ncr noobs :)

Pvp factions use advanced tactic but what u can know if u are not part of any tc gang? Ss to heal all ur hp?;) this is even bigger crap! Compare 165hp sniper and 285bg tank. When they have 20hp they both took 1ss to heal themself. Sniper ss gave him 145hp and 10s cd and bg ss gave him 265hp and 10a cd ;) u see u don't get it how ss in pvp works. Cd for ss won't hange anything because u don't know how big pvp look like.

I farm alone bos patrol and can have 100ss in one hour, and with my friends 200 in 1 hour.

2 hours for repair 2 ca? I need to 2 minutes.

TOo much guys like you just have test pvp, and nothing else. They"re so much things to do on this game, like i say if you just want pvp, go to requiem or desert europe, its all.

They're nice quests like Gun runners, ares, and the glow, who give very very much stuff, i went for 2 days ago with a friend in ares, and we find 18 combat armor, more that 10000 ammo, some BP, etc...

SO if the game dont interest you in other way to do pvp, move on an other server.

It's funny how every self-proclaimed "traders"/"crafters"/"miners" who try to act like they're some kind of expert in their niche call us brainless pvp apes. In reality 99% of us has been there, and have done everything that (in your opinion) makes you better than us. I have done every single quest in this game, traded for more 1kk caps, found almost every bp in this game, I mined and crafted tons of items, leveled dozens of alts, idled in ncr, you name it. Those bad pvp players, know everything about this game, and have seen everything it has to offer. The difference is that they just do things more effectively, and at some point they decided they want to move to the end-game activities, insted of being stuck in one place. Too bad their voice is lost between the words of people that can be seen only in one southern city, writing in emotion tags or begging gm for a another skin. If you don't participate in what this game fully has to offer, why do you want to restrict the fun for others?

Anyway, looks like the update is here to stay, and the dev's have just picked a certain path for this game, and nothing can't be done about it. Too bad it's in contradiction in what we would like to see for 2238.

An excellent update. This one update might be the best i have seen yet, because it cuts clicking in half on numerous actions like mining and gathering. THANK YOU! Also, although i'll miss having an easier way to get sstims, this change is for the best too since it gives some value back to crafters that was being bypassed by less involved players. (We might expect some of those to complain though, just like many did when you added blueprints, but blueprints does the same thing: adds some value to crafters.)

I must say i like this update. 5mm AP, Micro-Fusion Cells and Super Stimpacks can't be obtained by stupidity anymore.
This is how it SHOULD be.

Rather than being expensive to obtain - it was just some crap to flood traders with.
And from what PvP i had seen, it was merely a contest of who took the most Super Stims.
Now they have some *real* value.

Craft or buy some, or perhaps get a group and wipe out some patrols.
Atleast be thankful you can farm the best armors instead of crafting them.

Looking forward to the next update.

The update is good, the only problem I see here is the same problem since forever. Self entitled kids bitching because they can't have it their way. This isn't Burger King.

What would really improve both the game and forum experience is if the people who left for Requiem or TLA actually stayed there instead of letting their gashes leak all over the place.

This update, le coup de grace.

 What people do not realize here that 95% of the guys playing this want heavy PvP (player to player) and not player-to-rock action, they had wasted enough time with crafting and trading and clicking "f" and all that nolifer shit while they were freshmen.
Can't say I'm against it, I'm more interested in the results of this social experiment then the gameplay. But I can understand the guys who leave this game for a traditional 2238-like server and do not want to waste time on a fallout-inspired WoW. In a game were gear tends to be vaporized in mere seconds, that's understandable. Exploiting like stealing was for saving time, nothing else, and everybody did it, can you even call it exploiting since everybody did it?

 Most of you fuckers should just quit bitching at PVPers just because you autists think its "harsh" and cool to spent all your free time in left clicking "use hammer, click on rocks, repeat" on your 2D minecraft simulator or rape your "f" key (which gets me worse arthritis then allegedly stealing is supposed to do), you clearly missed the point what a game is supposed to be.

You must understand, that if 2238 become increasingly popular, the playerbase will grow, the traffic will rise and this will overload the servers, causing a massive lag.

I had attempted to breach TC few times, mostly DarkBlasted (no luck though), and standing next to bunch of guys hitting LMB + any key bidded to SS is faggy, especially when they call it tactics - just take a few SS's less, maybe think about classic Stims (and maybe about real strategy, like frontlines that switch after using AP's (eg napoleonic wars). We need to remember that hiding behind wall (while buddy covers u) to take more, but less effective chems is an option and THAT is closer to strategy (and it's even called covering fire) - see that if u'll have less stims, cause are harder to make, so will ur opponents!

And if loosing stuff is an issue for u - who tells u to go there with Gatling lasers? there are many other guns, and as i am bit of RolePlayFan (aren't we all are?) i think it's gay if every fuckin soldier got same (best) weapon (about: i recall a costume party in primary school - five guys were in superman costume at the same time - every one of them wanted to be cool, but u may imagine how it turned out). Just do ~50hp dmg less on that minigun burs or/and die few times more. Life's tough for newbees u met, so is for u now

Fact that u don't use medics, but stims is lame for fallout world. Where are bullets there are medics, that's the oldest rule, so just hire fev of'em to ur factions. harsch? in the wastes u are harsch too
PvP's specialize in teamwork, so no probs, but i think none of them would take so 'boring' job (hitting 5+LMB, instead of SS+A+LMB).
Hire fev crafters or spend more time on craft u lazyasses! harsch? in the wastes u are too

crafters craft for u, u share loot from killing and we got balance, but hey, it's better to complain instead of adapting to new environment or spending few minutes to figure new ordnance pros/cons.

And last thing: PK's are one types of players, but there are others too, and they probably would like to play too, not only in superman's costume! U were too ruthless to other players so boss is working on a way to balance it

PS. When u meet newbie in the wastes, u're so fossy, but when it came to crafting/bartering it turned out u can only puss out and change game u play!!!
(pity that many players were lost, because PK's were constantly killing them, but there were nobody then to say SERVER IS DYING!!!)

Niceboat you are just full of nostalgy. Players simply learned to play. They learned to do things fast and safe and not risk themselves for no reason. That's why all towns are empty. No major improvement or nerf towards encouraging players to be inside locations has been made through history of 2238 so I'd say the game has always been quite the same.

TLAmk2 is better only in quests, the PVP there just is there numbers/lvled alts>tactic
The crafting system is "too" wastelandish, you need chemicals to craft simple leather jacket... and to get those you need to make some efforts.
Stuff easily abusable, just loot it from caravans vs anything.
Again, if you aren't fast enough, or don't have outdoorsman you die in 50% encounters --> making your replication cost higher.
Also exploits for guys which started earlier, so you can't get them month after.
Want more?
Both servers aren't great and need improvements.

Is it really so hard to accept that we won't "give up" because other team made something in different way? And really, what's wrong with you guys that you stand the fact that there exists more than one FOnline-based server? It always have to be just one, other should shut down in release day - and if they won't, you put a lot of effort to make them so - just look at amount of 'i don't play, but i daily troll around' posts :)

No it's not, so many retarded features, crafting so realistic I won't be surprised finding a blueprint for buttons necessary to craft leather jacket MkIII, crawling instead of travelling (one of my "favs", no matter the name of server is), prices of bases and cars out of the arse, weird encounters like mantis' or wolves, very ugly maps design, weapons from all Sci-Fi games you can only imagine and so on. It's far from "good" server, so TLA mk2 isn't better, it's just 2238 became worse and worse. Shit happens, deal with it.

What is up with the server? The past few days I have been rolled back in time several times. Example: I have a character in NCR, he looks at map for tent at hinkley, he travels to the tent, yet the next time I log in he is still in NCR and cannot see the tent at Hinkley.

I don't play 2238 neither TLA MK2 but I found the solution.

2238 and TLA MK2 now kiss and do a baby. In my oppinion it would be fantastic to share manpower, ideals and cooperation on one server, no matter what name it is going to have. To make compact players, also devs.

well i laughed my ass out of this , i rarely have found people who said to me at any hostile location : come on lets work together , even weak PvPers with spears or mausers arent freindly and last time i played in gecko mine was some stupid sneaker with m60 who killed my brahmin me my companion and my dual log char ... and there were players with who i mined together but trolls where also there and it is no fun ... i dont wanna go with a whole gang into some just to gather some crap minerals for crafting ... but meh i dont play on this serever anyway , anymore ... so keep up the good work , maybe u should try to improve the AI of brahmins a lil bit more ;)

Team work in Fonline... HA.  I understand the story reasons for having monsters in what should be considered underused mines, but really this feature is just a bigger excuse for pk noobs to camp mines even more (as noted by pics earlier in the thread).  I mean yay for them cause now they not only get resources but also whatever combat gear people bring with them. 

The stealing nerf sucks because it was a valid and time consuming way for people to get certain types of items.  Yes right now people are burried in items and gear, but you need to look at it from the point of view of post wipe.  I think it's a bummer nerf and I don't even have a thief character.

On a side note, why the nerfs to Tardis and Verti's?  Players can only get access to those items by a GM, so it makes no sense to nerf them, unless something involved in their code was effecting something important.  I mean I haven't been on much so did I miss some big Verti-bird TC exploit or something?  Heh some arbitrary stuff been going on while I was away.

- Disabled probable cause of some occasional huge lags on the public server.
- Solution for "character already in game" problem (if you provide correct password and have the same IP, the server will drop connection of the character in game).

- Smart Cursor

- Slightly decreased weight of minable resources. Volume of all minable resources is set to 2.
- Good Metal Parts and Advanced Gunpowder can be crafted with Workbench. High Quality Alloys still require Advanced Workbench.
- All caravan wagons have 10x larger volume capacity.
- All respawning mobs (for example ants in Broken Hills) after death forget characters who attacked them.
- Stimpak and Super Stimpak recipes were made slightly cheaper.
- Stimpak, Super Stimpak, Radaway and Rad-X are now craftable in batches of 5.
- Small changes in Hinkley (more spawns in the Pit arena and some boxes blocking field of view in team rooms for sneakers).
Wow, just wanted to say: great convenient changes.
