player encouters + radio distress signal

about radio and player encouters..
yesterday my and my small group went to hunt some groups who seek for caravans adn we had a lot of troubles with finding them, even when that groups was in our squares of exploration.. so i have some questions


what is a chance to find other player on same hex/square?
outdoorsman has a meaning?
why encouters are open for that short time ?  (10min?)
why i cant send distress signal after (5minutes?) <- thats is just stupid

Are you sure players are hunting encounters that regularly? Maybe you didn't find them because there wasn't any.

there was some players on that area, we splited up
then some of us found that specific encouter, some not

i can confirm we were looking for caravans all the time you were hunting for us;

i'd like to know if it's possible to fall in an encouter you know is there, even when it is too late to call for help (thats 10min?5min?) ?

encounter system is still kinda mysterious.

my ex-faction took there combat(1CH) caracters whit a radio at an active slot whit same radio chanel

if we find somehting we time /h mesage or .h mesage to make a distress signal so all whit a radio can join

yes, i know about that, ah we even doing same trick! :p
the problem is - most of the time , when we find some encouter is to late to send signal
mostly becouse of turnbase

no:P it was that when we in group with taxi with high outdoorsman we didnt find them, but when we split with our awesome 20-30ish outdoorsman we fell in kinda fast, and then couldnt send the signal, so its just strange that a high outdoorsman cant find encounters which clearly is there.

Already noticed that, in large group it's harder to find players, dunno why.

It is kinda fucked up how some dededee who doesn't know about the wilderness ALWAYS comes across people on "accident" but an experienced 180% outdoorsman skill can't find a player for jack shit.

I have NEVER encountered a player, they ALWAYS encounter me and I have 160% OD.

Its nothing to do with outdoors. If someone is having an encounter and you are in range then you drop into it. Nothing exciting and its been the same for a long time (despite the moaning from some that it was now too common, after the wipe :P).
