Remove repair 60 seconds cooldown
Andr3aZ:
its like old times when crafting for example gun powder gave you 45-60 seconds science cooldown. (and 30 seconds repair cooldown)
really this game isnt harsh anymore ::) lets add a cooldown for traveling on worldmap, i mean if some glueing on a mauser fucks you up, how can you walk trough a whole state.
Sarakin:
Remove or at least cumulate. And please, fix the bug with disabled crafting while having repair cd ;)
HertogJan:
Repair cooldown is annoying and not really necessary.
If considered necessary accumulate the cooldown to 1 hour.
As suggested, fix the bug that makes it impossible to craft when you have a repair cooldown.

What was the idea to introduce it anyway?

A: Probably because it takes TIME to fix something?
--- Quote from: Andr3aZ on October 07, 2010, 12:17:16 pm ---indeed.
repair cooldown only simulates waiting.
I mean if you repair or destroy something a few minutes quicker...
--- End quote ---
-Simulates waiting? Or simulates the actual action of repairing item?
Am tired of every single thread having the same point, which seems to be: "Make the game easier'
I suggest extending repair cooldown, gathering cooldowns, removing the grossly excessive amount of ammunition that can be found in the wasteland. These are few things, you can see where I'm headed.

game is far too easy, I feel ya. Lets add pipes to craft any rifle again and make them uberrare and not craftable. Also we could make accounts bound to ISP-adress for players so the chars they can create are limited to one. Got someone in same household that plays fonline too ? sorry waestlund is hursh.
ah and make crippled body parts permanent until they are doctored + radiation staying after death until some radaway is used. how about adding a timeout for fighting ? I mean punching all the time makes you tired and firing miniguns nonstop sure wears out your stamina.
Now to quit the joking: The whole point is not to make the game easier. It has nothing to do with difficulty if i stay one hour for repairing my items or just some minutes, it only consumes time. I understand that this is to make weapons valuable and not some good that can be found everywhere and detoriation is no problem at all. So lets at least cumulate the repair cooldown to X minutes as it also takes TIME to craft an item and it simulates the action of crafting an item so why can we craft 1000 primitive tools in the same speed as how fast we push F , click, click, push F repeat. I understand high tier should have a cooldown so the game is not flooded with this stuff but please, repairing is a typical "im watching tele while i do this" theres no excuse like "go hunt, chat or trade while you have crafting or gathering cooldown". Some change is needed as repairing is currently a really anoying work, like crafting gunpowder preprewipe was.
If we increase all cooldowns we make items more valuable, personally i find this ok as i want this game to be a real hard post-apo simulation, but i think most players would be even more frustrated to loose their items to some lololo-PK, resulting in even more new or maybe old players quiting the game and we only have the big gangs roaming the wastes who don't care about loosing stuff. I'm keeping the majority of players in mind and not only my personal opinion. You should try that Gorlak.
