Awareness upgrade

A world without Awareness would be a much more interesting one. You'd have to actually make a tactical decision when you encountered a stranger in the desert - do I feel confident enough I can take this guy? It keeps you on your toes. I agree with Badger BUT I think we should always be able to see what weapon the other guy is wielding. Two reasons:

-this will be true with 3d figures after all, why not with the 2d sprites?
-I think it doesn't go against realism... I mean, you would know if that long arm the guy's wielding is a shotgun or a rifle, and you could see if it has a scope or not, etc... Maybe you need to be at a certain distance to see the weapon? maybe the radius increases with higher perception?

Ok, there are 2 aproaches:

 a) realism = in real life you cant see HP (heh) of enemy

 b) gameplay = get more information about your target => choose best possible tactivs => killl him even if he has stronger build than yours

  Real human player combat skill should have bigger impact on result of combat than pasive, SPECIAL build (avatar) abilities. = This is what i want.

 Current Awareness + see how many AP target has so i could choose right moment for "Hit and run" tactic to maximaze my one hit and minimize the possibility of geting counter shot/burst from target.

awarness is for snipers , mostly
that should show rather wich arm is crippled/blinded - that cna be handy

Agreed, since we lack the graphics for differend weapons. I mean if we had 3d game with 3d models for guns and characters we'd surely be able to see whether someone is holding sniper rifle or tommygun.
