i have a question about the rep system in general, it seems that during my actual playing i got a -100 to my NCR rep for no reason whatsoever, just defended myself vs raiders & prospectors... any thoughts on this?

I want to know this too. What exactly must we sell to receive +reputation? I've been selling all kind of crap from encounters to dedicated merchants but the rep just raises randomly.
