I made that comment to make a point.
People complain too much about certain aspects of the game.

Have devs read that thread?
No idea.
I'm sure they at least saw it.
Perhaps they have things planned to nerve stealing, perhaps they think it's fine the way it is, perhaps they think it just needs some minor changes.
We can only guess as with many other things that need fixing or changing.
The only thing that does come to mind in such matter is this wiki page.
