More interesting fights
« on: August 25, 2010, 08:58:18 am »

At the moment PvP is very biased. The best way to fight is to stop thinking and start clicking.
The winning team = the bigger team. That excluded small gangs from PvP and that excluded tactics from the game.
There is no thinking while fighting because there is no other option than fighting.
What about crouch? What about crawling? What about bomb, mine planting?

It need to be improved else this will change into just next shotter game like quake, but in 2d.

I know that was suggested many times.
I am not blind, I just want see it implemented and it seems that Devs haven't read it yet or they just ignored.
Maybe if they will see if we, players, are unsatisfied due to boring fights they will add something fresh, I hope.

isn't it already "Quake 2D: Isometric Wars", yes, tactics need to be implemented, but most people, much like you, only want to use the top notch of the equipment available, to make the game more tactically based you need to include some low-mid weapons and armour in your TC fights and more or les plan them, I say negotiation before mindless-run-into-windowless-room-of-security-blasting-all-in-your-path...

to be short, use what you faction people call shit-on-a-stick and plan out your battles in cooperation with another faction, wait, what's that, you say you want to rush them too, well too bad, because before you (the PvP playerbase) decide to go a proper way in doning things everyone will have bled out and FOnline will be empty, you just can't go about raping the game with your avengers in your BA armour, maybe try out a little variety with another faction, it will make for more interesting battles than running in with your BA and trying to rape everything in sight like in Hot Shots 2...

This.....um sounds like Fallout Tactics, usually it wasn't whoever had the best gun but whoever can shoot the fastest/more times. FO:T is pretty cool in an urban area a shot gunner has much of a chance to kill a guy with a mini-gun. It all depended who found who first or whoever shot the first.

it really is up to the playerbase to make more interesting fights, there are like 40-50 different weapons ingame, and how many are used, 5-9 at the most, bloody elitist pigs, it becomes boring if everybody uses tier 3 gear, you should know that by now.

And a sneak shotgunner is so much fun in FO:T (ready a burst, if in turnbased go into overwatch mode when you have the necessary AP to fire it, with for teh enemy to walk into the room, empty a burst or two into him, profit)

You're saying that we are using 5-9 of 40-50 weapons right?
So, imagine that we usually don't talk with our opponents, and even if we would, there is really little chance that we both will go with mausers or 10mm pistols wearing leather jackets.
And anyway I dont really see tactics in using weaker weapons and equipment than the best avaible.

well, it's better than the miserable slump-soup you play in every day, for once use what is called human ionteraction and try and contact the faction, and you don't really go right at TC, PvP is plannable, unlike TC which was a pretty bad idea from day one because of the windowless rooms, there is something called Creativity, I bet you've heard of it, if you want more interesting fights, plan them with the people you want to fight...

If you have nothing to suggest here, don't post. You could as well suggest "Improve the game". Plus, an update will occur soon, as you know, and it might change things.
