I've been trying for over an hour with my 2 friends to start a base, one attempt almost got us all killed.
We have the cash, we have the members, we just need the base. What does the trapper say when I type in a name
(from this list:

) the following:
"Sorry, I've never heard of you guys"
If setting up a faction doesn't work right now, why not give a big warning that it doesn't work?
Because honestly, it's getting on my nerves.
So, in short: I want a fix or I want a heads up.

Unfortunately... This is essentially the case. Assuming the update brings with it a wipe, which presumably it will as I gather all updates in the past have set the precednet of a wipe accompanying them.
Have you considered joining a currently existing faction instead? I mean all is not lost, it's just that venue of play is impossible currently.

or buy a base from somoene who sells it, but beware. They might attempt to rob it.
