Creating a HtH/Sneak. Critics welcome!
« on: July 16, 2010, 07:29:45 am »

So this is my build I would like your input.

This char is not a crit build but just does base damage.

ST: 7
PE: 2 - not sure what the diff is between 1 or 2 PE, I could just put this into ST.
EN: 10
CH: 1 - I don't need to trade, I got some good friends that can help.
IN: 5
AG: 10
LK: 6

Skills:
Unarmed - ?
Sneak - ?
Outdoors - 100 would be fine
And I would put some into Doc to get Living Anatomy.

Traits: Small Frame, Heavy Handed.

Perks:
3: Bonus HtH Damage
6:?
9:?
12: Living Anatomy? or HtH Evade? if HtH Evade works then I wont put much into doc.
15: Bonus HtH attacks
18: Silent Death
21:?

If you want to do a critical melee, don't use heavy handed, you will do lamest crits of your life
AG 10 is a good point to have Silent death and piercing kick
With 5 intelligence you will never reach a good sneak bonus, with 8 int, I've only 217 sneak + ghost + decent unarmed skill
Bonus hth dammage is good to upgrade your criticall hit, living anatomy is good if you want to play a boxing machine without aim
Hth evade works only in TB

Perks you should consider:
-Thoughness (Very important)
-Better critical (if you have heavyhanded it will help a lot)
-Lifegiver (You can't pass this perk at lvl 12)

If you want to play a melee 1PE, don't use sneak, use psycho

your build not HtH neither sneak
for sneak build you MUST have 10 int and otionally skilled trait
for HtH not critical build sucs so if i would making HtH sneaker it would be

5
1     (maybe 6 instead endurance and agility for better critical perk)
10   (maube 6)
1
10
8     (maybe 7)
6

traits
small frame
finnese

thougness/awarness
silent running
ghost
lifegiver x2
bonus HtH atack
more criticsls/better criticals

its not good in either combat or sneak but if you want especially that type of buid thats my suggestion
unarmed ~ 130-140
sneak as much as possible at least 270+

ST:  5   (for Piercing Strike and Haymaker)
PE:  6   (for better and more criticals... and i want see what I'm trying to bypass as sneaker)
EN:  6
CH:  1
IN:    8  (for high sneakskill)
AG:   8
LK:   6   (for better and more criticals)

Traits:
Finesse, Skilled

Perks:
6. More criticals (wait until reaching level 6 to get a level 6 perk because of the skilled trait)
8. More criticals
12. Better criticals
16. Bonus HtH Attacks
21. Silent Running *corrected*

HP: 132
AP: 9
Critical Chance: 26%

Skills:
Unarmed:   140%
Doctor:         61%
Sneak:        283%

probaly enough to sneak around a perception 9 char.
probaly good for crippling legs with haymaker or piercing strike and run away.

Haymaker
Requirements    Unarmed 100%, Agility 7, Strength 5, Level 9
Damage    +7
Action Points    3 (-1AP because of "Bonus HtH Attacks")
Critical chance    +15%

Piercing Strike
Requirements    Unarmed 130%, Agility 7, Strength 5, Level 16
Damage    +10, armor piercing
Action Points    8 (-1AP because of "Bonus HtH Attacks")
Critical chance    +40%

dunno hth and sneak are not realy compatible.. usefully sneakskill need a lot of points.. means educaded or skilled.
and with strong bonus hth damage char it will be the same i guess.. not enough perks..
and sneak without sight range (perception) isnt smart..

what do you think about that?
it was a fast create maybe i missed something..

edit:
you forgot silent running and ghost, without them sneaker isnt sneaker, and no point to take skilled trait without int=10

yes i forgot silent running. i will replace living anatomy with it. *corrected*

ok i made it better with less AG and more IN.
here the result:

if you realy need "ghost" to increase your sneak above 300%, just replace "bonus hth attacks" with it.

HtH/Sneak would be hard. You need the good Endurance because you are unarmed. You need those sneaking perks that take away from your options. But then you need to have high Intelligence to have that sneak ability.

But the biggest problem with this build is that they will always be able to see you before you attack them, and once you attack them, those 200+ points you put into sneak are useless because you'll go out of sneak mode and even an enemy with 1 PE will be able to see what you are doing until you run away, and they will probably be chasing you.

The bad PE also doesn't help because if you are trying to enter sneak mode with someone with high PE trying to get you, it will be very hard to go back into sneak unless you are in a city with walls, and if a sniper is trying to get you, then you'll have to run very far away to get out of their FoV.

Won't be a very good strategy just to get one good hit on them before they attack you, especially since you said you aren't going for criticals, so you won't be able to knock them out as a first hit.

Also, HtH Evade doens't work right now. If it is between Living Anatomy and HtH Evade, go with Living Anatomy, really good perk.

Correction, finesse is horrible for unarmed atleast... With haymaker and 6LK without ANY more criticals perks your chance to crit on eyes is still
69-78% which is damn high, finesse is just horrible when its not a def bypass crit.
