maybe give leather armour higher resistance against explosive dmg, like hard shell with soft inner lays effectivly dempfer blast, so it would have use like lowtier armour for bazookers or frag granaders.

To the extent I agree with Solar, I cant agree up to the point of LA being worth crafting, golden gecko has 90sth -104 hp points comes with 2 golden geckos and couple geckos. Killing all of them spendig a lot of bullets for a burst weapon provides you with an armor that could be slightly effective against radscorpions, which is useless.

NPCs HP doubled and attack raised and armors remained or as in case of LA got higher requirements.


Simply, if youre not alting youll need to buy a better armor than LA or LAmk2 and a good smg to go to craft LA, which is useless against golden geckos. If the HP raised 2 times. The golden gecko skin req should decrease by half to 3

Geckos really aren't hard to farm, you don't really need any armour at all and can kill them with a 10mm pistol and jhp.

You just level vs them and suddenly you'll have big stockpiles of gecko skins ready for armour making. Or just buy them from Traders, they spawn in their inventories too.



As for nerfing Higher tier stuff, certainly that was the reasoning behind making them long timeouts - what we didn't account for was that people would just stand around however long was needed so that they could craft them. It ended up not making the items more rare, it just introduced a lot more waiting round so the same % of action saw these armours, there was just less action.

Currently mulling over restricting them based upon where they can be crafted (for level 3 at least) - similar to how MFC are crafted. Hopefully would introduce some organic PvP stuff and restrict just how many of these items flow into the world.

This. Also, you throw a single plasma grenade, you get an armour and more. So basically craft 10 nades, get 10 armours. It's ridiculously easy.

I agree. As for their respective level (low-mid) the "ingredients" for the LA are perfectly fine, since said golden geckos are in the same category. Hell, you can even kill them with your bare hands, it's really not that hard.

Gonna try that with my lvl 10 sniper :/ Not optimistic though :P at least 10 shots per one golden and they come in groups of 4-5 (with normal geckos). I can craft MA so its not a problem :P Just i think it was better pre-wipe. More people were weilding something :/ Now its a luxury

Actually, after the wipe people are wearing more armors then before.
And if you really need 10 shots with a sniper guy to golden geckos you probably fucked up your build.  :-\
