Standart killing quests
« on: June 30, 2010, 11:16:41 pm »

1. You go to lets say Hub* and talk to the sheriff, he says that people are being killed by raiders recently, if you could kill 6* of them the sheriff will reward you. This quest is repeatable, but has 2* hour timeout.
2. You ''accidently'' encounter an almost dead guy in the wastelands. If you heal him, he asks you to revenge him and kill the deathclaw that killed his party and left him lying in the wastes, after you kill the deathclaw that is in the cave in the same map, you return its head* to prove you done it. He rewards you.
3. any other kind of this killing quests.

* - the number, place or whatever can be changed to whatever you like.

We certainly need something like this.  Just kill kill kill loot loot loot gets kinda boring plus good extra exp for newbies.

As similar things are already ingame, I am pretty sure you just have to wait for more to be finished.

But they're not repeatable.

These are.

= Awesome.

Next time you should learn abit more about the quests ingame before posting. There are repeatable quests already there.

While the mechanic seems to be in place, I'm pretty sure they were either never implemented or were removed due to bugs.

I dont care if its exiting or not, I just wanted to point out that Micheal should learn abit more about the game before he posts.

Well, i dunno, at one point i agree that they should need to remake the quests, add more, give 10x bigger rewards. Sorry for the stupid example (as always), but long, long ago when i was still young and not bold, i played WoW. Quests there were good way to get items and level up. Here i have finished like what... 2 maybe, max 3 quests with all my chars together... The process is too boring, reward is none (jeez, 100xp...). I feel like quests in FO are like speech skill. Useless. :/

man solar we kinda need some of these they sound very exciting

avenging npcs? going on raids "Kill me 20 Raiders you have 6 hours!"

"Special quest encounters" Like what was mentioned " You heal an almost dead npc in the wastes and he gives u a quest to avenge him and his buddies" Creating a very small tent like location on your worldmap or just automatically rewards with you good karma and XP once the job is done.

Maybe once  u get a quest like this your nxt encounter has a 50% chance of being that same group of npcs that you are trying to kill... Kinda like the bounty hunter system but from npcs...

Maybe the BoS can give quests to hunt down and kill rogue BoS members or enclave patrols?

but hey im just a player who mooches off the devs of this game :P arg such an awsome game lol but im thinking maybe add some little quests to kill npcs for other npcs and give out small rewards but let players just go Bounty Hunter missions all day to level and get some low tier gear and caps.

I know they are already implemented but im just thinking why not add a shit load of tiny simple quests to do while bored or as a young player? Nothing fancy just KIll X or Bring me X but add a bunch of very simple quests. I.e lol Copy and Paste the pre existing onces and change little variables here and there to always be a new random same old quest...

Id like to see some "KIll The rail gang quests" in Tb in the wasteland randomlly... would be kinda cool. You walk into a location Theres a little hut and a few broken cars surrounded by Raiders protecting a chest... Eighter kill the raiders, sneak past em or convince them you are the official gear inspector for the Raiders :P

Maybe an abandoned shitty military outpost surrounded by super mutants :P  Or just completely random mini base locations/ outposts that spawn random npcs and gear...  make them completely un choosable... no matter what outdoorsman you have maybe... i dunno things like that sound fun for us and the devs get to come up with hilarious stories as to why these guys are here or why this npc wants these guys dead or something. "I was walking my dog outside of NCR when a bunch of asshole Raiders kill my puppy and ate it! I want revenge bring me the leaders head and my poor dogs lucky foot!. I don't have much to give you, but I will definately be very grateful for helping me! Reward = 200 Xp 50 Caps and a knife or rope, etc. Karma Gain in NCR.
