Broken Guns and Upgrading

If i had broken minigun, is it still possible to upgrade it into an avenger minigun?

broken as in, "it is beyond repair"

Yes it is possible but it will deteriorate very fast.

A little offtopic but I dont wanna make another thread: if item is beyond repair is it possible to repair?

So it doesn't become a mint condition Avenger?

Just an Avenger with the old deterioration info (at 100% but with previous breakings recorded) carried over?
