I don't know if this topic was already made but... here's my idea.
We are all tired to have trouble choosing a Faction Names when it come to create a new gang right? So here's what i got in mind
A Special registration officer for gangs in the entrance of every guarded town and the capacity to buy from the Trappers(Klamath , Redding , Junktown) To buy your base kit! (Inspired from the G.E.C.K. and the Tent function). At the place of receiving a random Base in the Map you could just buy a kit and gather your friends and perform a science (Via Skilldex like a tent) on the kit somewhere in the map, creating your base at the location you want your base to be!.
Faction System? How it will fit in this?
Well if it was possible to do so.... To be able to have more then one base under one Faction Name via the possibility to buy more kits to make some outpost for your faction.
This would be possible IF there was a (Linked) Faction Terminals system added to the game. (I've noticed that the Enclave have 2 Terminals for their faction and perhaps the brotherhood aswell!.
And If this WORK! It will solves lots of problem when it come to Faction Creations like the trouble of finding a name because, all Names are randomly taken for others faction Outposts.
Sorry if its seems a bit incomprehensible, i'm a French Canadian Speaking English ^^

I could see this working pretty well, actually. The only problem could be losing it while traveling to where you want to build your base. Because if it registers under your faction name and it is stolen, what would happen then?
As it is right now though, I believe it was just implemented that if your faction buys a second base, your original one disappears. If that is the case, then the devs either don't want us to have multiple bases, or there's another system they have planned and this is just to prevent all the names from being taken immediately.
Either way, I definitely agree with choosing your name beforehand, but maybe with a deposit of 1-2k caps (maybe even higher like 5-10k and that price would be subtracted from the price of the base) to prevent every single person going in and trying to save a name.

And with every new base the price to buy another kit will increase by 10%?

i'd go as far as saying one of each base, and an undefined number of bunkers, since they are so damned expensive, and +10% per base would make bunkers way more expensive, in fact, a 50k caps per base built
