Author Topic: Ye olde Fallout Online experience - the first ever gameplay log!  (Read 1959 times)

You awake in your tent. Last night's sandstorm is long gone, and the morning sun seeps through the ill-tanned hides of your ramshakle shelter. The nightmare ordeal you have recently been through is still on your mind, altogether painfully reminded through the lack of so many things you relied on for survival. You have little time to recover from the loss, or your bones will join those of countless many others swallowed by the harshness of the Wasteland.

You are inside your tent.
You see: tent, rags.
>

>look tent

The tent has seen better days, but it still serves its purpose. While packing it up is a possibility, the secluded spot you found last night makes it a good idea to refrain from moving it for a while.

You are inside your tent.
You see: tent, rags.

>look rags

Odd bits and pieces of clothing and fur litter the ground, making for what you call a bed. Not the highest quality of accommodations, but they serve well enough to ward off the chill of Wasteland's nights. A glimmer of an object catches your eye among them. Looking closer you recognize your lucky cap.

>get cap
If only you could...

>use cap
You do not have cap.

>take cap.
You take cap.

You pick up your lucky cap, and the world is a better place already!

You are inside your tent.
You see: rags.

>check pockets
If only you could...

You are inside your tent.
You see: rags.

>pockets
If only you could...

You are inside your tent.
You see: rags.

>pack
You need a bag to pack anything.

You are inside your tent.
You see: rags.

>inventory

You have: your lucky cap.

You are inside your tent.
You see: rags.

>take rags
Their value is questionable outside of serving their current very important function. You decide to leave them in place after all.

You are inside your tent.
You see: rags.

>go out
If only you could...

You are inside your tent.
You see: rags.

>exit
Are you certain? Boo will miss you... (Y/N)

>N

You are inside your tent.
You see: rags.

>leave
Leave what?

You are inside your tent.
You see: rags.

>leave tent
You leave the tent.

You are outside, standing in the already hot air of the Wasteland. Around you spreads the vast expanse of sand, occasionally dotted with the legacy of the lost civilization. Black clouds gather on the horizon, with flashes of lightning stabbing toward the desolate ground.
You see: old tire, lots of nothing.
Exit: north, west.

>look tire

Detritus of times long past, the hard rubber of the tire presents multiple possibilities to an ingenious mind with proper tools and deft hands. Unfortunately, you lack both.

>funny
If only you could...

>look lots of nothing.
It's nothing. Lots of it.

>north
If only you could...

>move north
There is nothing to move here.

>walk north
If only you could...

>go north

You travel for some time, the fine sand carried by the constant breeze already seeping through the tattered layers of your clothing. In the distance you see-

You have been hit for 6 hit points.
You have been hit for 12 hit points
You have been hit for 24 hit points
You have been hit for 16 hit points and were killed.

Are you certain? Boo will miss you... (Y/N)

You leave the tent.

You are outside, standing in the already hot air of the Wasteland. Aroun-

You have been critically hit in the eyes for 139 hit points and were killed.

The sun is up, another day of adventure awaits. Why would you want to go to sleep now?

Against better judgment, you go to sleep.

A falling brahmin crashes onto your tent!

You have been critically hit in the head for 469 hit points and were killed.

<GAME OVER>

Play again? (Y/N)

Are you certain? Boo will miss you... (Y/N)

>fuck boo
If only you could...

If you think this is an exaggeration, try playing some of early "text adventures."

Grue. Bah. Grue's a wannabe :D

Glad you enjoyed ;)

Well it's a good thing that Fonline doesn't look like this. I always hated these kind of text games where you had to write the exactly same command to do anything. It could be bloody annoying.
