Author Topic: I'd like to wear bridgekeeper's robes and they should be craftable from CA  (Read 4295 times)

I think Bridgekeeper's robes should be craftable from combat armor and regular robes. By lvl3 armorer. They do make protection exactly like combat armor, so they should be craftable from combat armor. Also both combat armor and robes should prevent others from seeing eye damage. Because you do not see wearer's face. It could set CH for 1 in the direction of 5 for better or worse. You could have robes Mk2 from combat armor Mk2.
What do you think?

Hmm crafting them from CA and regular robes - good, as they have roughly the same stats as Combat Armor (not exactly the same). Other ideas (about eye damage, charisma and so on) - hell no!

Still, I doubt anyone would use them in any town :)
In my opinion, robes should be also craftable, for example from a shitload of hides of all types + gold nuggets or something. Something that wouldn't make them as expensive as combat armors and also wouldn't make everyone running in them.

Nah, Very bad idea in my opinion. Those fancy robes like the CoC robes are rare, and I like it that way. Craftable Robes/Bridkekeeper's Robes would ruin the game. Go play TLA if you want to craft your robes.

Also, I don't want to see these robes in every direction :(

And we passed through the path of streaming flamethrowers.

And we passed through the faction of the blind.

And we passed through the slough of swarm.

And we passed through the vale of tears.

And we came, finally, to the ice caverns.

Why would craftable robes ruin the game? I understand if the bridgekeeper's robes weren't craftable, since they're so powerful.  But why the hell would robes themselves hurt anything?  They just look cool.

It wouldnt ruin the game, it would just look odd.
I like i as it is in the moment, one can barely see a person dressed in robes, therefore its something "special".

it's because they look cool, if they were craftable from regular scrap one would be able to think that the children of the cathedral had suceded in their crusade despite losing their vats.

A small clarification....

Bridgekeepers robes are distinguished by colour from regular ones... it is just an extra pimped-up combat armor that can look really cool. If somebody is that keen of getting a pimped-up combat armor, I say let them have it for a small additional price. CA is very hard to get anyhow, why not wear it in style?
And if someone of GM team wants to distinguish himself from crowd, there is always power armor.
This is more of a style theme and does not change economical balance of game in any way. Besides, if you set for example a limited amount of wear or repair for it it is not going to be there for ever and people would think twice before pimping their sturdy CA into stylish and uber cool, but less lasting and same protection providing, robes. It makes sence to me, how about you?
Think about it please.

Yeah i saw that robes on special encounters on TLA - (my firend got one he didn't played fallout and e thought that is pk and he burssted him with smg and got his newly robes :D) BTW That robes should be in game - but not craftable , by quest or something - and can be done by 21 lvl 1 per one week .

Why once a week? Nah... once only, special encounter only, you need high speechcraft

Take THAT, Powerbuilds!

sir, these powerbuilds have so many alts. If of course this is done, and we can get a robe per week there will suddenly be a new term called "robe farming"

Exactly who it should only be able to be done once... even Vedaras would have had maybe 10

Bringing back a near dead idea i would still like to see this at least temporarily implemented.

What do you think?

Two things: If they were craftable it would take out the edge of rarity that they possess.

Also, how the hell does crafting robes out of combat armor make any sense whatsoever?  Stats are not a justification enough.

No one in fonline has speech skill unless they screwed up making their char.

hmm, maye to disguise the fact that you are wearing combat armour, the saracens did it, so why shuldn't we.  ;) (but for more than the dreason of disguise, partially to reflect sunlight, adn partially because it was fashionable to do so.)
