So, i''ve got this real big problem, i cannot enter in other players encounters. My cusin has the exacly same problem. I've been plaiyng this game for a while now (few months, about 6-12 hours a day) and i've never, and i repeat, NEVER, entered another's player encounter. Hundreds of players entered my encounters, but i never entered anothers players encounters. I mention that i had more than ten charaters with diffrent builds, still i have never entered an wastelander encounter. I've even tried with my causin, knowing his exact encounter location, to enter his. I've just walked over his encounter for like five minutes, and nothing. I asked a few players and a few game masters whats wrong, they've all said that is a random thing and doesen't require nothing special or a skill. This thing is going for a few months now and it really bugs me (my cusin too) so we would really apreciate some help. What is it wrong?

I don't get it, is that a joke? I know it's random, but that means it happends randomly... I just said that in more than in more than 500 hours of playing it never happend... What is wrong with you people!?

Count yourself lucky.  It usually doesn't go very well, meeting others in the wastes.

Actually that's a lie.  Twice I was offered the junk from the corpses.  Once I was attacked by a guy with some kind of lazor beam.  All times I survived.

Tho, there have been the campers that I came across.  Those were bad times.

Tried it, even had a 170% character, same result. And i told you, i was walking on the world map over a player encounter for like 5 minutes and still nothig. I don''t think is skill related, maybe client related, a bug or something...

What do you mean you had a 170% character?  You're more likely to encounter other players with a LOW outdoorsman skill, if that's what you were referring to.

Its random dude and it just hasnt happened to you yet. Most of us havent found any special encounters yet but we ain't guuna complain about it. It's just random and unfortunately for the past 1,000,000 dice rolls you've never scored a full house...

i run into and have people run into me all the time. heck last night i got to mow down some guy with a full contingent of melee mercs with supersledges, needless to say i told him he should just leave cause i was high on jet, well funny thing about using only melee against a jet sniper is that i can crit shot your eyes and still stay out of range of your dumb hammers.

Dumbass should've had at least two gun mercs to back the melee up at long range....  I swear Jose really likes to snipe with that 10mm smg of his....  Not bad crits either, he really likes popping out the eyes.

Theres nothing you can personally do in char creation to force this, if someone is having an encounter in a place where you get an encounter you will enter his. Zones where there are a high number of encounters are therefore where you are most likely to enter another encounter - and those zones are near NCR.

Since we were talking about outdoorsman skill, that means i was refering to it. And it's the same chance to encounter players, only that with high outdoorsman you have the option not to enter the encounter.

Zones where there are a high number of encounters are therefore where you are most likely to enter another encounter - and those zones are near NCR.

I just told you that i walked over an exact location for five minutes and still haven't enetered the encounter. Plus, my mates also called me to help them a few times in map areas (they had no radio, and we had to walk over the zone hoping that we will enter encounter), most of my friends entered, almost every time, except me.

People, this is not something about random, it'a a bug, c'mon. In that much time is imposibble not to enter in encounters if is not something wrong with the game. When i travel over the map with friends, and they lead the party, we always find a wastelander encounter. A friend of mine encountered three watelanders in half an hour last night and I haven't encounter one in three-four months of playing 6-12 hours per day? My cusin is playin also for a while and never happend to him either, so please stop with those answers, that it's random and it just didn't happend to me yet. This is a problem, is not something normal.
