Mercs Following limit

  Hello all. This morning i was reading about buying a merc. My charisma is 4 so i am allowed just to have one at once, i know. But i have read on wiki that you can have no limit of them if you let them watching at your base. But when today i was going to buy the second one, the woman who sell them at NCR told me: "you are too ugly...im not givin g more mercs to go with you"(something like that)

So, where is my mistake?

My merc is waiting for me at my base, so i have no follower right now. Anyone can help?

wiki is outdated. After wipe even mercs left at base/tent counts in your limit. Take Gain charisma and magnetic personality to increase your merc limit. Also you can use 2x mentats to get 2 more mercs.

But when the effects run out you won't be able to use those two extra mercs at all until the others die.
