ys it's totally different from the shells i've found in special encounters.

For info, it was with a character without Ranger perk but he had Scout. only 3 in LK.
But If Surf Solar say t's totally random, the Ranger perk becomes totally useless then.

Yep, feels good doesn't it?  Wasting a perk...

Is it a possiblity that special encounters are marked with a dead guy just lying in the middle of wasteland and, it didn't say any ''you encounter some brahmin shit pile'', there was just a dead guy lying, I thought there was a player who killed that guy, so I ran away.

Did he have a name and/or did he look different from the average npc???.... if so yeah it prolly was.

i had 2 special encounters allready with one character 130%outdorsman and 9luck, first one was howitzer, second was bunker if somebody will explain how to post pics i can post some(me noob, me dont know how to this:)

I think that just luck (in-game) and high Outdoorsman helps to find special encounters.

i think it has more to do with luck, i have 140 outdoors and have never found one

As said, my char who found the shells had only 3 in luck and around 105 in outdoor only. Maybe Scout perk helps event it's not written in the description as Explorer should help.

well if there is anything that affects it theyll never reveal it, i swear, ive never beta tested a game where the developers hid information form you.

Well i've found dead a travelers body in a cave twice, had a flamer once and a grease gun the other time.

Any encounter where you find people with high tier weapons such as cmbt shotty, HandK CAWs, and snipers, is a "special" encounter.

No matter how nerfed those encounter's value has become now with the very high deterioration on the weapons...

Gang encounters around New Reno have decent end-tier weapons like shotguns, and for the sniper and CAWs and rippers you gotta look in the caves man... THE CAVES!

These are no special encounters. The ones you mention are just called mountain regions and you find them all over the wasteland.

Those aren't special encounters... Yes there are some special caves with bluesuit body which has tesla armor in inventory...

btw caves was ''fixed'' rippers, snipers and other things from caves have now 60-80% deterioration... and I didn't asked for caves, I asked for special encounters.
