I play this game a lot as I'm sure some of you know, and I've been all up and down this wasteland of ours since the last wipe and not once have I come across a special encounter. Could someone post some details so I know what it looks like when I see it?

I have never gotten any (that I knew of) either, but some of them I know what they are. Two are pretty obvious encounters: One is a big tank with missiles scattered around, and the other one is a ladder hole in the middle of the map.

I am not sure about the others, but when you encounter a special encounter, it won't be a combat encounter and you won't encounter any other players, so if you ever get into a mysterious encounter that doesn't have a "You encounter... wastelander" on it, then look around for a bit.

Ohh crap! i may have been in one then, yesterday i got an encounter but when i appeared on the map there was nothing there.
it didnt say for example you encountered this and that, just empty encounter.

Sadly i didnt explore and just ran to grid.

It says something like you encounter a prewar bunker, or something like that, so usually even before you appear on the map you would know you got into a special encounter.

so far it seems special encounters are going to be the bane of my existence, i wonder if any of those outdoorsmen perks help, like the one that claims youll find more special encounters on it or whatever it says.

I already asked that on another thread concerning special encounters, it doesn't help as it would only lead to farming.

The only thing i've met is a cannon (the same as the one in Boneyqrd merchant)  with some  shells. but i didn't find any interst pf it

yes i've seen the 3 letters following by (a date ?) some numbers but i don't see what to do with, even if i really like enigmas.
(these letters/numbers were already there in FO 2 so i don't know if it's reliable in FOnline).
any clue ?
