As been said, people'd just gather all the shit in order to have a "weapon".
So another way of making atleast some caps or xp for newbies would be gone.

shit shoveling is a joke in fact, newbs waste their time on shit instead of learning bout crafting/gathering system.
only the gathering system is 10x more profitable than shitshoveling
