Sneaking and Perks

so my character is a sniper and his sneak skill is at 155%, he carries about 11 kg total most of the time (sniper rifle, leather jacket, 50 ammo, radio) however it seems like when i am in sneak mode everybody can see me. Some players told me in game that there is a penalty for sneaking in fonline, im wondering what those penalties are?

Here you can find many answers.

Here is where some guy made a lot of testing with a character with over 280% on sneak. There you can find out the limit of what you can achieve investing in that skill.

And conseqently, I suggest you create yourself a new character and don't spend skilll points into sneak any more. It's been nerfed so much that it's just not worth it.

with 300% sneak vs 10pe - 15hex

Test difference between a guy with 0-25% in sneak and a guy with 250-300%
I thinks it's still the same for the 2 guys since the nerf : Hidden outside the field of view and visible within.
(I test it just before the wipe and no news about sneak since the wipe)

Or it changed and a guy can be hidden in our field of view, that could be a good news for me (and other) but I remain in doubt.
