I thought if you dont pay your rent then rent a room again later on you get your stuff back, that apparently isn't the case. Is this how it's supposed to function?

That wouldnt make much sense dude.
Imagine the place you living in right now, you dont pay your rent, you get evicted, If you don't take your things with you, think the landlord gonna hold onto em?
And then give them back to you oh so kindly when you return and attempt to rent same house again?

It worked like Roachor said before wipe. So it obviously changed after wipe. Now the question is whether this is a new feature or bug.

Seems things changed indeed. But nothing mentioned in changelog.
