Harmless perk

Hello,
I would like to take Harmless perk for my stealer char, I'm level 8 and I have not Harmless in the list of possible perks. After refering to the TLA manual, I saw that you need a karma >=50. And I wonder how to get 50 karma points. Is it possible for now ? (I mean with our karma system)
If someone knows that, it could be very helpful for me.

its impossible as far as i know, the only way to change your "reputation" is to fuck around in towns or join factions.

Yes but joining faction modify "local" karma. I need to change my general karma.
