Actually that "based on trade" could help a lot. If the town don't profit it will simply refuse to be "protected" by such gang and they will be opened for another gangs while gang who get kicked out would not be allowed to take over that town for lets say few ingame days.

Actually that "based on trade" was in the very first TC version, which failed very hard. It was easier and faster to just kill the players and get what they had and not let them trade to get something from the TC container later.

As far as I know it was like some % or items lost in dessert near town wen to TC container. But it was trade based aka more different people trade in town = more profit or woot? Thats news for me. Anyway TC pretty much anytime was about getting more rich and not about actually protecting cities from villains (since they were already there ;) ). Getting this one straight will be tough.

Maybe a way to avoid this should be something like converting all benefits into a relative quantity of dedicated items. I think that atm more you have militia, more you earn this kind of items (jet in redding, uranium in BH). Since militia is already very useful, we dont really need a bonus which is relative to its number. But the problem is, I'm not sure that all cities are balanced in terms of merchants.

Just i wonder : why do they kill bluesuits entering mine cities ? They probably don't need all those sledgehammers.

You never know if they aren't from some other faction. It's better to kill *all* players on sight preventing them to get resources than let them dig and come back with good gear to kill you.
Simple resource-blocking and screwing over others.

sooo many PKs right now.

Just i wonder : why do they kill bluesuits entering mine cities ? They probably don't need all those sledgehammers.

They should wait until AFTER the mining is done.

Then take the materials off the corpse.

The sledgehammer should be given away as a "friendly gift" to create more loot in future.

True. Mostly, we picked up some shitty stuff from these containers (low-tier weapons, antidotes, radscorpion tails  :o ). Sometimes there was some ammo, but mostly we even didn't care about what is spawned in footlocker, because it wasn't worth shit. Loot from some random dude killed in the town was usually better than what was in TC container...

That is exactly what I do when i see someone going into the mines Swingline.I only shoot outgoing customers and its not about shooting bluesuits like some of the victims like to think.I just really hate mining and you guys save me alot of time.Ive said this before but why the hell are you guys almost always unarmed when you visit a dangerous place?Im only in the bh when I need to mine with my crafter and usually score mats off of two or three people and sometimes you guys are in a group.Im not some overpowered killer Im just a crafter with 150 sm guns.If you fight back a little you might surprise yourselfs a little.

Maybe because they have their crafting characters there and they don't want to put a single point in combat skills? Anyway its truth in your words and I love to see this opportunity to say:
Crafters often say that most PvPers are powerbuilders and when they whine about something, crafters shut them up with arguments like "you have chosen this build so it has its consequences". But guys it works vice versa too!  :-*

The excuse of stealing rocky stuff from bluesuits at mine is pathetic. Admit the fact, you fail at TB so hard that even crazies own you easily. Stop playing innocent cause nobody is not guilty.

Im not one to beleive that a crafter cant fight though Sius.My mine raiding crafter is a lvl 3 gunsmith in a bluesuit with 82hp and a 10mm smg.I dont have any crit perks or bonus ranged damage and Im a loner so I dont have backup and limitless funds for CA.I have been doing these kinds of things since i started playing more than 8 months ago and I never understood the constant argument about 2 types of players and PvP versus PvE.

If I get gunned down by someone more powerful and I really want revenge I dont go and cry about too much xp for powerbuilds or big guns being too strong and I certainly dont start a thread about it.If I really want to take action against another player I try to make myself stronger and either kill them or fail in an entertaining attempt.People take this shit way too seriously and often times i see it lead to changes that hurt one aspect of the game while catering to another.ITS NOT A PERSONAL ATTACK ON YOUR BEING IF YOUR AVATAR GETS HIS HEAD BLOWN OFF.

Stop worrying about losing your precious guns and shoot back for christs sake.Im not trying to say a crafter is going to destroy people in a TC battle or take on powerbuilds but I gaurantee you will surpise yourselves with just how effective you can be.

It was never about this. At least not for some. Sure there will be always argues about one being too overpowered over another but thats just part of the gaming experience and devs will have to decide if those whines are justified or not.

Some people prefer peaceful crafting over shooting and such. And by killing them you force them to react and do something they might not like or enjoy even a little bit. And thats what this is about for some. Being forced to do something you don't want to always sucks no matter from whose perspective it is.

I suppose you have a point Sius, but this is fallout and death is inevitable so bring a gun anyway.Maybe I should offer my services to some of these pacifists as a collecter of materials or some backup for the trips they make.I always thought it was funny how a guy that hates to die can laugh so easily when its not him getting blown away. Its always greener on the other side i guess.
