The Laser rifle on the wiki's stats are wrong with the ingame reporting as 40-60...however the Plasma rifles are accurate at 35-65

The wiki however says the plasma rifle has more impressive crits is this true...or is the Laser rifle just superior in almost every way?


(Also why is Leather armor MK2 almost as good if not better than Metal armor mk2?)

ROI on plasma rifle manufacture vs salvaging (i.e. farming) 50%+ laser rifles is comparable but all in all lasers are the more efficient path.  Lasers have longer range and dont require ew specialist crafter and bps to come by them.  The only thing lasers are deficient to plasma rifles is small amount of damage.

Why is that though? Laser Rifles are soo much easier to acquire and are just better in literally every way. Even average damage...

Armors have lower Damage Resistance to plasma than to laser.

Try using a laser rifle against someone wearing metal armor, then try again with plasma. You'll know the difference. This also answers your question regarding leather armor and metal armor.

Same with helmets.
Plasma is doing nasty crits even w/o bypasses, just if enemy got NORMAL combat helmet crit can go up to 150~~ 200 dmg, while laser max is like 130.

I`m plasma-only user - habbit from Fallout 2.
Still its working well for me, so i see no reason to switch to laser.

The Plasma Rifle could be a nice weapon, but his range is much too low.

All weapons used in pvp have a better range (Avenger, M60, Rocket, Sniper, Gauss, Gatling and Laser Rifle), so if we could compare it directly you should take 2 bursts in your face before making one of your über-powerful-plasma rifle critical.

Though I think this weapon is good versus mobs or for killing some random bluesuits.

But plasma tanks are still in good shape, but people prefer to play gtling, because of it's ultimate damage.
Laser rifle just got bigger range, but it's criticals are smaller, plasma have lot of dmgs from crits.

Take with you both then. Snipe them from long distance using laser, but when they get close switch to Plasma.

Also it's important to note that plasma weapons melt people when you get overkills with them, which completely deletes their armor. Don't use plasma when farming CA.

Plasma is massively underperforming ATM, only being better than laser rifle in plasma type of damage. Nonetheless in terms of bypasses, it is neglectable.

I've been playing last times with plasma rifle
-cheap to get
-good damage against every helmet(this is about tesla helmet too)
-you use it when it comes to rush to enemy or defend in building

only bad side I see it's that you need to carry two weapons that might come much cw or for someone who cannot afford it.
