Alright so I don't know where else to put this, the mods I've messaged haven't responded after 24hours (although they have posted in topics). I tried to keep it quieter and in messages instead of a topic, but I don't know what else to do since absolutely no information has been given.

I've apparently been banned in the IRC channel #2238. Absolutely no reason or any kind of information has been given about this. Logged off about 2 days ago, yesterday tried to get on and found that I was banned. In the hours before I logged off I was idle/afk anyways, and the ban must have happened in the 12-18 hours between logoff and trying to log back in.

The IRC moderator I've tried contacting has been JovankaB, because (many hours before logging off, even more before the ban) that was the only moderator whose name I remember as being online much earlier that day. For whatever reason though JovankaB has blocked messages from me on the forums, although that could be a blanket act for all messages (wouldn't be the first time I've seen developers do something like that, so I'll give benefit of the doubt)

The other active moderators I've tried to contact have simply not responded.

The only channel I seem to be banned from is #2238, and again I have no idea why and no reason has been given. Especially considering I wasn't even online whenever the ban did occur.

Yes, i'm using Mibbit. I've been in IRC before, and just yesterday I had a weird work around that let me get into the channel despite being banned (typing in the channel before connecting to forestnet would let me in. Today it didn't, I decided not to sit in the IRC, but I was trying to find a mod and at the times I tried there wasn't any around)

Very easy to do yes, but I'm not missing much by being out of the IRC for a couple days (very quiet/dead, but still nice to just afk in there) and it is better to not risk a more legitimate ban by avoiding the ban which probably isn't legitimate.

Was the block for mibbit recent? I was in there for a while with no mention about it, and remember a few others using mibbit (which oddly enough points out others who use mibbit...)

I'll change IRC programs, but it is rather odd. Why exactly is mibbit banned?

EDIT: Switched over to chatzilla, I got in fine. There are still a few mysteries to be solved, but the problem is resolved.

But if I really did ban you, then you must deserved it by insulting other people,
spamming or something like that. So adding more crypto-insults won't help.

I don't moderate #2238, I hardly ever visit it. Over 3 years I banned a few trolls there, that's all.
And I don't remember banning him, ever. So I don't really know what my name is doing in his post.
He could ask me and let me know what he was banned for, then probably I would help him. But he
just lost this chance.
