If you want to play Warcraft 2 multiplayer for free go to http://server.war2.ru/modules/news/ and download the game by clicking the banner (only 12.7mb). This server has been around for quite some time with a lot of players on daily, more than the official servers. Lots of old school players are there.

Install, go to multiplayer > enhanced > battlenet using server.war2.ru gateway. Make an account in the game, login and you are ready to join games.

If you want to vs me I will be on #2238 irc most of the time, just send me a message and we can play. I mainly play on Garden of War with even faster or fastest speeds but I'm willing to play on any default map. (I'm average skill)

We can set up 2v2s and if there is enough participants we can organize some big games like 4v4 or FFA on maps like Garden of War, Plains of Snow or High Seas Combat.

If you live really far away from the server like me then there is a little bit of delay when issuing commands to units and such but it's not a big problem and it is still perfectly playable, you get used to it very quickly  .

Don't be shy to try if this is your first time, see you in game!

Shit yeah I still play RA2, I mod the hell out of it. I made a zombie apocalypse mod where you build towns and stuff. real hardcore.

Russians ( Confederation ) are Zombies.
Make sure to play on a smaller map, DC Revisited and larger don't work yet.
To use town buildings garrison them.
Just put this file Into your RA2 Directory and start the game. play skirmish!
