Honestly, one who is unskilled shouldn't be able to make a flamethower, or a production model handgun at a workbench without traning. Prehaps adding pipe rifles, zip guns, maybe a home made flamer? And, a single barrel shotgun could be cool.

Thing is only a few people actually craft the weapons you get from the start.
Mostly new players getting their first gun.
Flamers can be farmed from rouges,since this is faster then crafting many people do it this way.
