That's quite true, but why won't get any answers of what's now happening in the staff, what's are you planning, or what are you doing at the moment, and why some features have been deleted, instead being repaired?
Just those questions, and I guess those "little" whiny bitches will go off.
You can't repeat same thing expecting different results; i do remember and miss times when average player like me could talk with Solar about the changes. I really liked it, even if i didn't get a shit when he got into details why item x costs 100 and not 110 caps... but there was others, which could. And Solar's chit-chats with them most likely helped to tune things up. There's no such people now, these which could help keep the same tone everywhere, so they're no help now - stopped at the point of "i don't play it", without courage/strong will/balls to just let it go. It happens, yes. With who we have to talk? People which actually want to keep this little project go further and have something in the head, are hardly seen between the so-called oldtimers which are still here just to mess around. What for? I'd rather see new faces which have something to say and can explain their vision, not old farts which are stuck with putting their opinions about the game whenever typing is possible. Even if they don't know shit about it.

If player like me does give a shit about it, because I liked to play there, and want "moar", why don't you continue it then?
Only players "which want to help" are asslickers and gms wannabes to play with their friends around and spawn shit, it shouldn't go this way, should it?
And this just showed up in latest session, that we got 3 groups of players, the first one, as you called them "old farts", the second "ass lickers" and the last but not least, newbies along with casual players, which doesn't care much on the changes, because they aren't there from it's beginnings.
I don't want to post shitwall of text about me and my feelings, but I'm there from some time, and started interesting "why" and "how" are things going in development status since 2010, and some changes are great, as stated, but most of them aren't discussed with ANY, group of players and if they are - they' ve been discussed with sissies and cryers about nerf "this and that", the closed beta tests looked as just outfitter being added to NCR, but with lesser amount of players - that was horrible idea.

Wait, what, huh? How do the players matter, even one shit, to the way the game is developed? At its root, this is the devs game to with what they wish.

From my statistics (may be wrong), most of DEVs aren't active in game "lately*".

Well, then if they add random changes, who's gonna play the game, because they won't start for example TC, because there aren't enough DEVs in staff to create two teams  ;D.

the players offer feedback on how to make the game  better?

Quite wrong :/
Anyway this is progress, maybe such a harsh discussion will encourage some people to change their minds?

You'd be suprised how much influence on game can have players opinion. But first you have to step beyond the forum, as its been made impossible to discuss anything here. And i'm glad that i never was nor will be seen as "voice of Rotators", so i can present just my own opinion; i'd used it, and now i'm going to stop, i derailed the thread enough :]

Jesus Christ, I don't even... if you don't understand how this game's economy works, how the hell did you arrive at the conclusion that messing with it so hard is going to be a good idea? I'm trying to be constructive here, have you ever tried looking for someone to replace Solar? What's with this happy-go-lucky attitude, do you seriously think you're going to stumble into something good if you keep implementing random stuff all the time?

There's no such people now, these which could help keep the same tone everywhere, so they're no help now - stopped at the point of "i don't play it", without courage/strong will/balls to just let it go. It happens, yes. With who we have to talk? Have you ever actually tried getting solid community input? I mean CCP made some sick cash with EVE online, they have a massive player base and yet they actually have elected community representatives helping them with balancing the game and there's plenty of mutual respect. Why can't you learn from other, successful teams? They also have a real-life free market economist hired full-time helping them with the trade mechanics and similar stuff. You admit you lack the ability to create a consistent vision of this game and yet you've never tried doing something similar even though the working development model is readily available - it's enough to get off your ass and implement it, but I guess yet another brahmin shit script has a higher priority here. Have you ever tried getting similar help? Do you think it's needed? Do you think you're going to get it if you keep insulting the experienced players like in the post I quote?

Even if they don't know shit about it.

What are your credentials when it comes to playing the game? Actually, is there anyone on your team who was a successful player? Everybody knows you people were the definition of casual when it comes to playing the game before you became the devs, why are you acting like you know everything there's to know about the player experience?

What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Section 8, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on BBS and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire NCR armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the NCR and your alt is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in PvP combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the Brotherhood of Steel and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fucking dead, kiddo.

Thank you, I've started to love this thread :D

With who we have to talk? People which actually want to keep this little project go further and have something in the head, are hardly seen between the so-called oldtimers which are still here just to mess around. What for? I'd rather see new faces which have something to say and can explain their vision, not old farts which are stuck with putting their opinions about the game whenever typing is possible.
Funny fact: old farts are those who have seen this game thriving in 2009/2010, whereas new players often start a thread questioning where they can find other players in game.
Personally I'm also dismayed when I see what was done with my once favorite game.

Even if they don't know shit about it.
It will be better if I leave this without further comment  ;D

Quite wrong, players can start exploiting loopholes in good features to an insane extent which leads to devs nerfing the fuck out of everything.
