lockpick skill

Cl0ud:
Hi all!

What lockpick skill needed to pick a car?

Also any other major uses and recomended skill level for them?

Thanks

LostSoul:
You can make high level locks, then go around ncr locking lockers and chests with prizes in them, hide teh keys around ncr.  and tell people to go searching for prizes. That's what I do.

@LS: What happens to the lock once someone opens it? I assume once a lock is used on a locker, that locker can be locked from then on, but is that right?

@Cl0ud: Lockpick 150 seems to be dependable enough, but 200 is noticeably better. LP 250 is ideal for picking locks because you can use expanded picks to get virtual 300 skill. Anything over 250 though, is only beneficial, as far as i know, for crafting locks*.

* That is assuming that lock strength really is based on the crafter's LP skill as the wiki says. I have not personally confirmed that yet.

If it's openned with the key, the lock/locker will continue to have a lock on it, and anyone can close it, but only the keyholder can re-open it.

If it's lockpicked, the lock is destroyed.

Boon Lived:
You always, no matter your skill, have a chance of opening a lock. The higher your skill, the more of a chance you have.
