I'd have helped out but a few .45 rounds wouldn't stop a super mutant and I've just have pissed them off and got turned into paste, lol.
Also I had a backpack full of golden gecko skins I didn't want to lose.

Not sure if my charisma is high enough for followers. Got on brahmin and that seems to be the highest amount, unless there are different values for mercenaries etc.

Yeah, just went there as a level 11 character with 100 caps for two unarmed mutants. Got a comment about "scrawny ass" and they wouldn't sell me any.
