Brahmin skining whit skinning perk

bluebrint for tent sounds cool, but i would just suggest to have knife in inventory during skining, not that hard for noobs.

I was thinking about something similar. Some quest available from trapper/traveller in the towns, that would guide the newbie through the tent building process. You know an ad hoc location with 10+brahmins and NPC that would give some advices how to build the tent. Quest requirement would be a weapon/gear based on the highest combat skill, so the player will have something to kill the brahmins with.

Don't forget to make sure tents can only be craftable in the advanced workbench in the Gun Runners' Fortress, it won't work anywhere else.
Serious note> I think players should be able to craft a "Tent" item and use science on it instead of carrying the 10 hides around, easier for mid-range players who don't have bases everywhere to make quick removable outposts and easier for newb charity since you won't have to haul hides everywhere.
As an exchange for this lighter and easier to carry "Tent" item, one could add the requirement of 10 hides + 4 sharpened poles to craft such item.

Pretty much what I was thinking when I saw this title. Wasteland might be harsh but this would be a new low.

I like the idea of craftable tent item. and the requirements could be different. say 5hides + 4 poles + 5 fibers. so the newbie will have to learn how how to gather fibers, wood and kill brahmins.
