Stop this madness with SE hunting
« on: January 10, 2013, 01:46:37 pm »

Lately people have been asking more and more about special encounters.
Get this into your head, there is no way to increase or decrease your chance of getting one.
There is no magical perk,GMs don't give them out, there is no super encounter finding build with 10lk and 10pe.There is no area tied to the encounter.
Stop wasting your time. The developers already said it's completely random, only real life luck is involved.

Also i dont know why people need police car . Only one SE is usefull (bunker with gauss pistol and gatling).

PS: you can change texture on normal cars which are already in the game

as their name says, they are RANDOM. random means there is nothing you can do to increase chance of finding it because it's 100% random. thats what i think about them and i dont know why so many people dont understand this.

Except it can't be 100% random when Howitzer and Bomb Shelter seem to appear only on certain areas of the map. If you don't visit those areas, you won't find your SE's.

Nobody ever though that each Special Encounter can have own group of settings? :(

How do I put this clear enough.
They ---->USED TO<---- (meaning:an activity that was often repeated in the past but isn't happening anymore in the present) appear in certain areas. It was changed with one of the last updates.
Now they are truly RANDOM.

It's funny how people make patterns based on severely limited data. And Mike Crosser is right, except a dev said that you wouldn't find a desert-type special encounter in a city tile, and vice versa.

Fine,if it's confirmed by a developer,I'll belive it.

Okay sorry I was about to edit my post but you replied too quickly.

A dev didn't actually say exactly that, rather "it doesn't take much thinking to realize that some encounters simply don't fit on some tiles if you just look at the encounter maps and how they look like".

But I don't think that could mean anything else except city vs. desert encounters. Sorry if I caused more confusion. ;p

try reading the changelogs

Pretty sure I'm up to date on changelogs, please source your information... you coming here to say "the information is out there" but not helping to find it, is being completely useless.
