Disband party without reason
« on: October 15, 2012, 12:20:17 am »

Hello,

My party has disbanded without reasons :
I exit a map, all ennemies are died, and ... my party is disband.
I lost 4 merc melee, 3 trappers slave female lvl6 and 2 trappers slave male lvl2
I don't do anything for that.
What happen?

Can a GM help me? I don't see anyone online (and i can't go IRC)

Why you can't got to IRC? You can do this via web page by clicking #2238help link in my signature.

If you type ~pp and you see that you have all party points free, then mostly likely they are gone.
Critters were deleted and with them everything they were wearing and nothing can be done about it.

Followers are a bit risky to use because there seems to be bug that can make them deleted with map
when you leave it. I thought it's fixed but I guess it's not.

If you described in detail how the situation looked then it could help in fixing.

Ooooh I can go in your IRC. magic.

Hmm After reflexion, I think i know where is the problem :

In fight slave and mercs do all the job so i haven't combat timer, i quit quickly the map after, so quickly than the combat timer of my followers don't finish when i quit.
I think it's because their timer is no done, they can't quit the map, even if they can "flee" with the timer if i ask them.

same experience in slaveruns, vhen map is deleted after leaving it, and if they combat itmer isnt 0 then this happen. Make follovers free of that timer . that might help

also telling them to flee from each encounter before you left vill solve this issue, but somtimes people are in hurry so it might happen anyvay

npc's has no combat timer i think. just hit one of your npc and flee him. he will disappear as soon as he reach exit grid. always FLEE your npcs and you will avoid their disappearing. i many times left enco and my mercs just followed me after they finished the battle. they only will not follow you if they are somehow on "wait here for me" mode on random enco. this can happen after you die.

check if your party points are still used

Always regroup and tell them to flee after fights.

Also make sure when you regroup them together to tell them to auto move, if they are not on auto move when you leave an encounter say goodbye to them (unless you tell them to flee)

Thank for advices

But i remember last session when if you quit a random map with followers in manual mode, they are deleted. Now, some things are news and the followers don't delete so easily, ty developpers too for that and for regroup and for party points system ;)

my party disband again.
Same circonstances (auto mode, regroup, exit fast after kill some molerat (so no loot, so quickly))
I confirm, use flee for no party disband.
