I'm fairly sure DayZ is more hardcore...

Based on what?

There is a hardcore mode in which you will have 1 life with no chance of coming back.

And to the person who mentioned real money... Did you notice that this game runs on real money too? =D

I know it's hard for the FOnline community to see something new as something new AND good... but try ;)

One of the main strong sides of dayz is its milsim background, with advanced balistic, weather related vision etc etc
War Z being just a cheap ripp off dayz ideas lacks this crucial factor, its just some fps having unrealistic mechanics.
U should rather wait for stand alone version of dayz or join private Hive servers with lower tier weapon only, no hackers and no alt f4 mode implemented.

So it's strongpoint was using an engine not designed for an MMO to make an MMO?

Also the "advanced ballistics" were removed for DayZ... so if you think your bullets are being affected by wind or correolus affect, think again.

On the point of weather, notice how most servers drop to 0 population when night time, and rain is in progress? I sure did. BORING AS FUUUUCK.

Also, saying "etc etc" does NOT imply that anyone has any clue what you're talking about.

Everyone here seems to want to go on their gut feeling rather than anything they've tried...

Kinda like you're all christians! =D

Based on what?
DayZ recoil is something that actually looks like a recoil, WarZ's recoil is pretty much CoD. Might be WIP.
DayZ has a system of breaking your bones, handicapping you. (more realism, but I can't say I really ever liked this in FPS games. WarZ has gone for a more mainstream, health bar approach.
WarZ's zombies are fairly stupid and don't seem to react to sound as much as they do in DayZ. However, this might be a thing they are working on.
So far what we've seen of WarZ, weapons don't seem to be anything particulary scarce, just about everyone is running around with a G36.

So you're judging the game on pre-alpha footage. Okey

Oh also 'testing for players in Alpha' what the hell? Alpha is not supposed to be beta, they got it a little bit wrong or they are somehow insipired by Minecraft?
On other note, WarZ looks like shit. Weapons accurate as hell, being on every step. Running is slower than snail.

Yes, it is a rip off from DayZ. But much worse.

Running is about the same speed as a DayZ run, also the map is 2x as big as DayZ.

They were in fact inspired by the Minecraft release method, and this has been mentioned already, and the community loves these types of deals. We were able to purchase the game for cheaper than retail, or pay extra to donate and recieve some goodies.

Also, any weapons you have seen, are high tier, ultra-rare weapons shown to show off the game.

I'm not sure how you guys are so bad at research, if you found FOnline, why can't you find out the FACTS about the game before you start complaining? I truly don't understand this community. So ignorant, so unwilling to open your mind.

Then what else should I be looking at? Some rumors a guy in a basement at his computer posts on the internet?

the map is 2x as big as DayZ.
A quote from the developers. Maybe math isn't your strong side?
Quote
you're getting around 160-170km of playable terrain comparing to 225 sql km of Chernorus
Although, as the developer stated, a quite large piece of Chernorus is water, it still means that the maps are just about equal.

I'm surprised by your lack of skepticism (If that's even how you spell it), you just eat every possible information that somebody throws at you, like a hungry dog.

start complaining
I'm not really complaining, I am actually quite waiting for WarZ, but there have been enough times I've seen games keep bad habits from alpha/beta versions. It just makes sense for me to be aware and make predictions.

No flamewar, I know how the game feels and plays (at least in its current build) since I was allowed into Alpha much earlier.. It's of no concern of mine whether or not someone wishes to shrug off the potential of a game.
