Even if jet addiction was permanent in fallout 2, it didn't mean it actually was. If someone took it by accident, ofcourse he would load the game.

Permanent jet addiction isn't needed in fonline. It adds no twist to the gameplay because if a character takes it by accident, best solution is not to "deal with" the situation but delete the character and level a new one. Or use the broken char as town or shopchecker.

Dr Troy or Dr in SF could heal JET addictions for caps, 100caps/lvl which mean max 2400 caps at lvl 24

Im for cold turkey solution.
Make the char useless by fucking up its stats for a long time, like 2 weeks.

I think what Jovanka said is the only thing that should be added. The pop up on jet use "Are you sure you wanna be a junkie?" This would solve the unintended use of jet.

Make getting antidote a quest-line.

Endorphin blockers at Sierra?
In FO2 Myron said old military bases might have them in stock.

Perhaps they remove a day each from the 2 week "cold turkey" method, if that is also implemented.
(And they have their own side effects.)

Jet antidote in F2 idea was to prevent any effect from jet for brain same permanently as its addiction was. So if you use antidote you will be never again able to get +2ap from jet. It should fix all worries about it rarity. Its balanced if you cant use jet anymore, even if antidote is not rare

The problem is that Jet antidote hasnt been discovered in 2238 yet. It was made as prototype for the Chosen One in 2239.

But the idea sounds good, same with betablockers. Im still for cold turkey method, though.

I think it would good to simply add a warning/confirmation window in case of JET if you
aren't JET addict (if you take it the first time a window could pop up requiring you to
confirm that you really want to take it). Although I think some people maybe would consider
it hello kitty or something. How gameplay based on making educated decisions rather than
random mistakes and interface missclicks would be hello kitty, I do not know.

Are you saying that the rage-quitting process is intended ? ::)

I always though it was the community behavior that made noob left this game... ???

For the cold turkey, maybe make it so there's a very low chance of recovery; like 5-10% with each check.
