I have also a big problem with them, that i think i haven't on the past.

When i press "q" or "a" (i am refering to combat mode), if there is desert stalker, radtoad or centipede, the game overlag and become unplayable. I have to close combat mode and exit map. I doubt this is intended, but it remains a huge problem.

Is it possible to replace 3d critters with frames, clientside, devs?

Then how about posting it in the bugtracker than blaming it on us?

is the server down today??  what exactly do you guys mean by 3d? I hope you dont change it up too much.. I just found out this game existed the other day.. i have to say it is a dream come true!!  where the hell have I been?? lol  but as an example- i would rather put in the NES version of contra than any newer version of contra... some things are best in thier classic form, the current graphics are what I love about it, but im sure I will love the changes, whatever they are.

i think i like the old stuff better..it has a certain look,  the "3d" kinda reminds me of the kinda graphics on "hard drivin" from the early 90's.. I think it should all be done by the same artist too, to keep the same look. I used to love how in FO2, when you add real gun pics, they were downgraded to look like the same style, and fit in pretty good. I wish I knew about this game a while ago, I could have contributed something. Im just hoping it doesnt turn into a 'different game'  BTW, no disrespect to anyone with my opinion, Im not much of a fan of polygon looking graphics, and im pretty old school which effects my opinion lol. Will there be changes in the music? I would like to offer my services if i can..  and can someone tell me... Is the server down??? ive only played 6 hrs today, and am not done yet

Work in progress. Ever heard of such thing?
I wish I knew about this game a while ago, I could have contributed something.
So you are saying that you can't anymore? Lost an arm or what?
Im just hoping it doesnt turn into a 'different game'
It won't. The goal is to recreate the original sprites and render them in 3D sauce. Things may change later, after 3D is already completed, because then developers may want to add new weapons or other stuff, but that I'm pretty sure would be for balance reasons.

Yes, the server is down (well, was down the moment I was writing this). You can always check the server status here.

thanks for the info!  as far as contributing.., my graphics experience is only with FO2, I was working on a full conversion "fallout - rise of the yakuza"  and it was only 60% complete, basically making it a little more japanese themed, replacing most of the items/weapons/charicters/music/menus, ect ...but alot of the files were lost, and its been sitting for 4+ years. I do have a nice vehicle done (if i can find it) that replaced the car, but as far  as 3d rendering, I am probably useless. Honestly, I've never tried it yet..too busy with old 2D, lol... Not to go off topic, is there any info about using the yakuza faction?

It would make a nice addition- just add stuff for that faction.

Show your stuff to the devs.

Fortunately, what is feasible, offline rendering as early as in the 1990s, can now do real-time and low-end hardware.
