Sure its been done before. But which do YOU use.

Real time, Turn based, Or the both option.

Feel free to post why, or the advantages.

3's DLC's are better then 3 though. 3 is just bad (but fun)

real time. turn based taked forever to do anything. i can do twice as much in real time then i can in turn based. thou turn based does have its times when it is the better choice.

Real time. Because the combat time is 1/4 or less of turn based, also good for PvP.

I knew RT is the future from the very beginning i started to play this game, it's aggressive, fast, there's no time to think and you have to rely on split second decisions about positioning, focusing targets, managing action points => thinking further faster requires more practice and knowledge in general. I always have thought that real time is superior in a way to turn base, though turn base is slow-paced tactical chess, but chess at the same time is boring for me.

Real time. I don't remember when was my last fight in TB, but probably at least two sessions ago.

RT for brevity.

Sometimes TB allows for grouping enemies and keeping them in place for a strategic area weapon.

Both, depends on what I am doing. Obviously 90% of the PvP any more is real time. I farm in turn base, some farming I'll do real time depending on what I'm hunting.

I actually enjoy turn base as it gives back the good feal of playing fallout1/2.

Turn Based!

Sometimes Real Time...

TB is my first love, because it's a relaxed way of killing things.
Sure, I could grind three times more encounters in RT, but I'm not in a hurry.

RT and TB are great, but I prefer RT because that's what helps in Town Control :D

Real time just because it helps keep the A.I. from taking two minutes to make a decision.

Also I forgot to ask: what does selecting "Both" in the options do? I never did try on either of my sessions.

rt is for faction pussies that really believe there own max hp bg DPS builds standing there blasting away at others till they run out of superstim packs is actually "tactical".  TB allows for use of cover and a wider variety of builds (not just tanks) to be viable.  TB is more relaxed and SF battles with walls can be very entertaining.  But unfortunately only rt is realistically compatible with TC.  But the more the devs favor pvp apes (they do kinda make the hardcore population) and cater to their game mechanic whims by nerfing crit burts, etc,. the more the odds are skewed into there playstyle.  Personally TB is better PvE with some exceptions (*cough* geckos in tb sucks, ghouls in tb sucks *cough*) and a good TB pvp battle where it doesn't just matter who shoots first (he who shoots first tends to shoot last) is hard to beat.  That's my opinion and you can print it!  BTW if they remove TB I wouldn't ever have played this game nor would I ever play it, now or in the future. TLA? is slow mo rt and sucks donkey dicks.

It's all really about suppression of dissension, consensus through censorship.  Whether through extermination of those who have different or conflicting viewpoints or subtle spin of available media.  If there is only one opinion left, it must be right, right?
