Like actual junk? Several players will pay top caps for huge amounts of it.

Other kind of junk like gecko hides and mausers and crappy leatherjackets, its better to science it, the 20xp gained is pretty good for junk like that.

First, you need to go to the Hub, Old Town... Find a lady alone in a jail cell type room.  Speak with her and inquire about her husband, you must now go to Adytum, speak with the Combat Armor guard, and inquire about the SCAVENGERS.

Once you do this, the "Scavengers" will be unlocked to you, a short ways away from Adytum, here you will have access to an NPC who will pay you 5 GENERATED caps per junk, via a chat option, note: THIS IS NOT A TRADE, it is a dialogue option.

However, like the above poster mentioned, you may be better off selling the junk to other players, if you can secure a trusty trade.

Different traders buy different things, and players ninja those caps very quicky- even with only 30-60 on at any given time.
