Okay, so after my hard fight to get into the Wastes. fighting tooth and nail to get it to update it demands it is missing datafile " datafile2238.cfg" not found run update.exe. well after running update a chunk of times, and it saying there is no problem this still happens. This disabled my ability to see my mouse curser when i updated. so i can kinda navigate around via feel but no where near enough to even pass the registration. please send assistance :/

Do a clean installation in empty folder, use "my" client from here: http://fodev.net/forum/index.php/topic,22146.msg183126.html#msg183126

Copy Fallout2 master.dat and critter.data in data folder (or set up paths if you know how);
