The old system worked very well, you just required a high skill to do it, and you still do in the new system, they just added a ton of new restrictions that make if beyond difficult.  You think about if you every got one of the rare items it is literally useless because even if you got lucky enough to use in a few times you can't every repair it unless you are truly blessed and got the exact same item.  I really hate how much of the game is get your items just to not use them, and right now it is even more that way.  Hopefully more will see that.
Exactly....that shitty idea was pissing me in F3,NV...and now its here... If this is for more realism...i dont understand it...if (for example) you fried your graphic card...will you buy a new computer to just for repair that? I will just buy a new card...and thats it. For me it will be nice to repair items with resources...or go back to the old system. But this is only Bethesda shit for me.

Well hopefully we can keep a fair suggestion up so the Dev's can read it cause I know a lot of people who do not like the current system.  It really does seem to just be broken.  Also another difference between the Fo3, NV repair and this that makes it worse is that the max dur of items didn't drop when you repaired, you just couldn't repair as high without higher repair.  Even when you can manage to repair items in the current system they become worse and worse eventually requiring yet another item to be made.

Using metal parts to repair an item would be better then using the same item, plus it makes actual more sense, and is still very skillful in its need to use the skill. other items you could use is alloys or good metal parts
